that looks a punishing routine week 3 has 17 sets! is there a suggested amount of rest time between sets?

haha yeah week 3 is hard. I forgot to say I slightly changed week 3 so that the doubles at 90 and 85% were singles instead. it didnt say how long to leave between sets. I just did 5mins. wk. 3 = 90mins of deadlifting. Grin

will is very very right here. i tried using it after seeing the successes he had on his first run, all it made me do was hate the deadlift, for a year. i wasnt conservative. Roll-Eyes

lol sorry phil! the routine was in the testing stage at that point. Grin

the first time I did it I did it too high and only just made it through week 2. I dropped it by 5kg for week 3, made it through and got a 15kg pb at the end.

my normal routine has always been do what i feel like i,ll give this scientific approach ago and see what happens

so its just once a week any assistance?

Im not really one for routines either but I like this because its just 4 weeks so theres no big commitment to it.

yep just once a week. I just trained as I would normally during the week and did a few power cleans after the deadlifts last time.

Log clean + press (full reps):

80kg x 3
90kg x 2
100kg x 2
110kg x 1
120kg x 1
127.5kg x 1 PB Happy
100kg x 2
100kg x 7 in 75secs PB Happy

Stones (to 49"):

110kg x 2
110kg x 5 in 75secs

great session. log was on fire today. 120 was a little tougher than usual so I had a couple of doubts but 127.5 flew. great to get the 100 x 7 in 75secs this far out from the qualifier too. I can start shooting for 8 now! wore my red elite shirt for my axle pbs last week and for this session so it is now my designated 'lucky pressing shirt'. it will be worn for all pressing pb attempts from now on.

stones felt rusty after my lay off with the hamstring injury but 5 in 75 isnt to bad considering that.

Well done on the log PB, Will. My pressing is a bit hit-and-miss at the moment. I'm expecting delivery of a 2" bar tomorrow, so I can start training axle.
