Muhr was a great strongman (athletic, strong legs, strong back, strong grip), but he really did struggle with pressing events.

Bodyweight : 89kg.

Having slipped a bit with my diet recently I was pleased to discover that I'm still under 90kg. Need to get back on track though.

One of my personas has been banned!

The final crime was saying that forum is a little unfriendly if you're not part of the 'in crowd' (very true actually).

Have you ever tried to overtrain your left hand to bring it up to snuff with your right? I am interested in this as I too exeperience imbalances between left and right (as I'm sure most humans do). Circa 2006 I tried to redress an imbalance between the girth of my left leg (the thinner) and my right (thickness personified) by performing additional one leg squats (and maybe other exercises, if memory serves) on the left, but all I did was irritate my left knee with injurious excesses of activity. Ultimately I decided to continue on my original course and let the chips fall where they may. For the record, the above and aforementioned imbalance persists to this day, but I have made my peace with it. It would definitely be interesting to hear others' philosopies on such matters.

Yes. I've been doing a bit extra work on my left side for decades (grip, shoulders, whatever), but the imbalances have always persisted! I actually think they are near impossible to rectify.

Good work Sparrow. My left hand wouldn't manage that.

I wonder if tight knee wraps have any coincidental benefits in relation to this concept.

Incredible knowledge!

Is that when people do curls with a strap around their upper arms?

How much have you got to lose?

Nothing. No money or anything involved. Just a bit of motivational fun.

If I put on weight I would just get a big tummy. Even at my biggest/heaviest I didn't have very big arms. About 0.25" bigger than they are now.

I've embarked on a race to 17" arms! I don't think I'll win because the other guy already has a 0.5" advantage, is 13 years younger than me and is more naturally prone to upper body growth.

I've never used a Strength Shop one. I've got a 57kg Inch DB, which I never actually strict pressed. I've strict pressed a 57kg normal DB. I 'strict' pressed WILLSAN's 51kg Inch DB once. I didn't really do much repping in those days, and I didn't really do much strict DB work when I was doing strongman. That sort of stuff came later on.
