wanted to press the inch on my yule session - managed it just! yoke and farmers were decent. same times as last week. did the turn on keg and got an extra half length so pleased with that.

spent nye and nyd laid up with my back so the main object was just getting everything moved back into the correct place. hips were super tight.

pleased with this. obviously took it very carefully as deads crippled me on saturday. tried out the stiff leg style which has been my style of choice in recent times. had my doubts as to whether the suit would do anything but it actually did. maybe not quite as much as conventional but it felt much safer for my back so im going to stick with it. with the straps up and cranked hopefully itll help me hit something at least average at esm.

first proper step in a long road to esm. pretty positive start off point. log was a bit messy and slow but I got my target. might move to sixes and build up a bit slower. yoke speed is ok but my stamina is weak so im going to build it up on 30m runs before moving on to 40m. farmers were solid. stones were surprisingly good considering I havent done them for a while.

it wasnt so bad but I was aiming to do that easily with enough time to spare for another rep. the log caught on my knee sleeve on the clean of the 2nd rep which threw my rhythm off.

87kg 3 fails

Snatch/overhead squat:

71kg x 1/7

not too bad. the three misses were very close but I just kept catching the bar with a soft lockout.
