f**k, 115 is a nice log for our level mate. It starts getting to the weight which separates men from those who are technically men as well but not quite.

125 is already solid for Opens and would not be in the bottom third with that kind of log press.

well don on the 110 log lad you'll be at the 115 in no time but one thing i could suggest is the length of time you have the log ontop of your chest is way to long and every breath you take you will get less air back so i would try and speed up the movement if you can

Thanks for the advice thing. It didnt seem too long at the time but looking back i see ive got it racked for ages! I think its because im going through everything I need to do in my head. hopefully itll get more instinctive as I get more practice in.

Will, like the man with the plan says, I'm always serious. Here's the rundown;

Axle press - 100kg for reps - 2min time limit. Floor to overhead
Silver dollar deadlift - rising bar, 10kg incriments. straps/suits allowed. Starting weight 200kg, and lifts can be attempted or passed at the athlete's discretion.
Yoke - 320kg for 10.8m - 30 second time limit
Farmers walk - 140kg for 15m - 30 second time limit
Thick handled dumbell (circus dumbell) overhead press - 50kg - max reps - 90 secs time limit
Stone over yoke (50" bar) - choose between 115kg and 135kg stone, as many reps as possible in 90 secs. One rep with 135 beats any number of reps with the 115.
Last event - medley - be sick (3 reps), cry in toilet (90 sec time limit), call your Mum (maximum time)

Kick off time 12 noon - all athletes to be there by 11am at the latest!

We've got 12 folk in already, but if you want down let me know. It looks hopeful to get a bigger unit for the day, so we amy well increase the number of competitors to 15, and we've only got 1 reserve down so far. If you want any other details, shout out. Otherwise - get yer name down, you know it makes sense!

p.s. - Joni would look good in a wig

They look some great events. Im definately interested but ill have to see whether I can make the arrangements. Ill get back to you asap mate.

140kg x 3
180kg x 2
200kg x 1
220kg x 1
240kg x 1
250kg x 1
260kg x 1

28cm Box squat (belt):

100kg x 4
120kg x 4
140kg 5 x 5


Squats were tough as hell. Didnt feel heavy at all but the volume kicked my arse as ive just been doing singles for ages.
