I watched a video of Chris McMuffin training Eric Spotato with it the other day, it looks good but like most things of that ilk I don't believe the hype.
I may have to conjure up my own poverty shoulderod

so far following his advice has made me go from being crippled with injury to squatting an all time PB (albeit with the addition of wraps o))) and deadlifting over 3x bodyweight for the first time ever, so i think very highly of him and his methods. Try it

I just started typing a massive story that would have eventually answered your question but almost certainly ruined sugden, but now iv deleted it so il just give you a very brief version.

All of his advice. The specific thing that has helped me the most is his hip warm up method combined with his squat technique. I have watched pretty much all of his videos, many of them several times, and then tried to apply the information as accurately as possible to my own self.

i like chris duffin, lot of interesting information on his videos and articles.
plus he squats more than he can deadlift as a non fat-ass so he's eternally cool for that.

not sure if there's anything magical about his shoulderok device that can't be done just doing rotator/rhomboid prehab exercises.

I can only imagine how beautifully worded your lengthy post would have been, and despite you not posting it, I'm still content that you considered the length post.

Duffin is a smart man, and also somewhat of a nut job. I like that about him, because he seems like a real guy who has lead one hell of a life. Some would say he is nuttier than squirrel s**t, but I've never studied the turd of a squirrel, let alone examined it for the nut to feces ratio.

Regardless, his warm ideas are good and some of that stuff I've used myself. I'm a slow burner, and I feel like I take a long time to warm up, so I use some Duffin methods along with some band work like Brian Shaw.

Right now I need a pitta stuffed with some form of meat, a condiment to keep it moist and a slither of vegetable to add texture.

Good day sir. Good day!

Do you have to be a nut to lift heavy weights? I have been questioning my sanity as of late. I've tried to come up with complicated philosophies to excuse myself for trying to lift heavy bits of metal. But if I'm honest with myself, I think the truth is I am as mad as a box of frogs.

Both reps moved pretty well, there was almost certainly a third rep there, however i lost my position on both reps. A little bit of back rounding, and a little bit is too much.

you have to be unreservedly confident and 100% committed to get under a heavy as f**k bar.
some people like ed coan can achieve this state with a minimal amount of fuss, others like
kirk karwoski do the whole psycho psyche up thing to get there. it just depends on your personality.

i agree. I think it takes a certain kind of person to put themselfs through that. i seem to go the other way and i get calmer when i lift. but i have my own theorys for this

I have been award by Tom that my deadlift technique is s**te and i need to change it.

Deadlift

trying to work on externally rotating my hips, using a slightly narrower stance.

70kg
110kg
150kg

all of those were for multiple set of mainly singles.

this was 110kg

this was 150kg

Probably could have filmed them at a better angle. What I'm trying to do is push my knees out more so they are not internally rotating. I suppose I'm probably trying to do other things too.

second warm up for bench (featuring rod swings)

bench (using new touch lower technique)

bar
60
80
100

110kg x 1 absolutely s**te but didnt hurt
80kg x 5 x 2

chinups - 3 x 5
rod swings

chipoltle
