I realized that I havn't really done any kind of deload or had any time off at all since Christmas/new year and I have felt a bit wrecked recently, especially after maxing out on squats. Not to mention the weekly AMRAP touch and go deadlifts. So I decided that this week I would deload.

Squat

bar
60kg x 8,8,8

chinups

10,10,10

db bench

15kg x 15
20kg x 10,10

that was fun. I dont know why I dont deload every week

It's a great album.

Burning Beard is one of my favourite rock singles of all time.

I know deloads are popular, but I've never really 'got' the concept, and this (^) sort of confirms my thinking. I can understand going a bit lighter (I occasionally do it), but not as light as 50% or whatever. For me it's - heavy, rest, or something else heavy.

I understand the concept but it really hasn't done me any favors. In fact it has totally derailed my training.

Are you deloading because you feel you need to, or because a program is telling you to?
