All easy enough..

They were more than "easy enough", mate. Barely in first gear.

Good deadlifting mate - definitely a fair bit more in the tank there.

By the way, I think your deadlift form has improved recently. A while ago you were doing what seemed to me to be a rather strange hybrid of a PL deadlift and an OL first pull - so your shoulders were over the bar but you were using the stretch reflex at the start. I don't think those go together and it looked a bit awkward to me; I think I mentioned it to you at the time. It looks much more like a PL deadlift now. Was that a conscious change?

Thanks lads, I appreciate the encouragement nice to do something worthy of some!! Tongue

Tokar, very interesting point about the reflex and starting positions - I remember you mentioning the position but not the combination of them, it does make sense that they don't suit each other. I moved the stance back a little, I noticed on some videos in the summer I was definitely starting way too far forwards.

By the way I really like the platform SLDLs for 10s, think they've definitely helped.. moving them to a seperate day now so I can get in some lockout work for assistance.

Cheers Rick, partly inspired by hearing of Bolton's and Mick Ashurst's success with them, also because they were a logical move from the higher reps and until I know I'm going to get a single PB I don't really feel I have the incentive for heavy singles.
