Saturday morning scrap heap boxing class

over 40's boxing for 1 hour , started at 8am took half an hour to get going and finished with head looking like a beetroot.

curcuit of pullups in a minute 19 15 then 4 rest pause

started lifting weights again so new journal. mostly boxing at the moment so the weight training is just to compliment that , i no longer have any strength goals.

warm up 4 rounds shadow boxing with slip line
sumo deadlift 60kg 3x3 90kx3 110kx3 120k3x3
slam ball throws 4 sets 5 reps each arm 2 sets straight 2 sets hooks.
standing long jump 1 set 5 reps
atg split squat elevated front foot bodyweight only 25 reps each leg
1 minute pullups 18 15 then 3 rest pause
1 minute push ups 30

dislocated my shoulder and tore my rotator cuff in April or May last year only just getting back to be able to do push ups .

the training is its own reward i guess as its tough as f**k !

I sacked off my gym membership but i think i might have to rejoin as my running is suffering due to the lack of strength training , even in my 50's i cant make my f**king mind up !

wheelie bin is a keeper though , every day now , change the water every sunday ...gets a little skanky although i dont piss in it


pretty much the same with the barrel its a bit skanky after a week , got to keep the strength training going mate the older you get the more important it is (use it or lose it)
i'm stretching every day as well i found a stretching routine that gives you maximum benefit for minimum time input
