Band practice is only once a week on a Sunday, usually the only day I don't train.

bar
50
80
100
120

140kg x 5
150kg x 5
120k x 3
80kg x 8

i have no idea what I'm doing

bar
70
110
150
190

230kg x 1
170kg x 3

I literally have no idea what I'm doing with regards to anything anymore. I need to change the way i squat because iv been going high. I need to change the way i deadlift because ..... something. I need to change the way i train because right now I'm just swinging wild. I need to apply for jobs, find a career, pull myself together and probably other things too. I definitely need to make a cup of tea right now though, thats for sure

Your last paragraph alludes to a lot of decisions being made, so I hope the cup of tea helped.

On a different note, how do you find the SBD's for squatting and how tight did you get them? I need some new sleeves as my current ones are banned in powerlifting.

I couldn't be bothered to make the tea in the end, i just lay on the sofa for ages thinking about life and stuff and then went to bed.

I think i have the medium STDs. At first i couldn't put them on but then i got someone else to break them in and more importantly learnt how to put them on. They are good. I used them yesterday because iv got some knee pain at the moment, i actually think it might have helped a bit. They are very good as knee sleeves go and yes i would recommend them, but they are by no means a necessity. I usually just use poverty strength shop ones.

Today i pretty much just tried to to rectify the problem of squatting high. I warmed up and then went up to 120kg, just doing loads of sets, mainly of singles but some doubles, triples and one quadruple. The whole time it felt horrible, and like I was going really deep. It would then turn out that i was gong to just about parallel and this would make me unhappy.

this was one of the reps

then some rod swings

Iv been having all types of circumstances recently. In trying to squat to depth i have absolutely wrecked my SI joint again. Im also having trouble eating and am going through all kinds of things at the moment, so I was actually pretty pleased with todays session.

warm up

squat (back to squatting high, just like everyone else)

bar
50
80
100
120

140kg x 3 - a recent beltless pb

rod swings

bench

bar
40
60
80

100kg x 4 paused - not bad!
80kg x 10 tough and go, also not bad

more rod swings and a few chin-ups.

whole session was done in 1 hour

May I ask why you are transferring to high bar? I've been having some tendonpathy in my arms due to low squat. I'm going to do safety squats for a month to give my elbows a break. Perhaps high squat could be an option for me ...but I really don't want to.

Good look with your SI joint, mine is slightly stiff so I know how easy it is to aggravate it.

Not high bar, low bar but actually squatting high like an American. Trying to go to depth has wrecked my hip

bar
50
80

140kg x 5 - beltless PB - actually not that bad. felt like i was going quite deep (which means it was maybe just about parallel

bench

bar
40
60
80

100kg x 4 - dam, exactly the she as last time
80kg x 12 touch and go

a bit of other stuff, mainly rod swings (which i can now do with one hand)
