Nice. I've recently come into possession of a 53kg Strengthshop one. Going to use it for grip training and hopefully I'll be able to strict press it too!

I remember you doing 1 arm strict presses with a strength shop dumbbell? What kind of weight and reps was this in your prime pressing years?

Thanks Wayne Grin it's been nice to pick up the strongman stuff again after several years, and find I'm stronger at it than when I left off. Should be able to strict press my old push press log PB soon! (113kg)

Final gym session before even this outdoor gym is forced to close Unhappy

I had been planning to hit a 110 single by the end of Jan, but the gym closure forced my hand. I think 107.5 was there today.

Farmers Hold:

130 kg for 41 seconds. Felt it stretching something in my left shoulder at around 30sec, put it down at 41, grip would have managed a minute I think.

Decided to run Smolov Jr 3 week programme to get my squat up.

The outdoor gym has an awful bench press, but it does have strongman equipment. So, in keeping with "playing the card you are dealt":

Strict Log Press:

85 kg x 5
85 kg x 5
85 kg x 5

100 kg x 2 PB Grin was going for a single but managed 2

One motion log:

80 kg x 5
80 kg x 5

Not great at these! They were pretty much cleans followed by an immediate strict press!

Axle:

90 kg x 3- felt snappy, power clean
100 kg x 1, pretty much a press out, power clean
100 kg x 1

It's hard to get the right grip on the axle, it doesn't have markings like an oly bar. I must be the only person to power clean an axle and then struggle to push press it

Narrow Grip Pullup:

+25 kg x 10 sets of 5 (2:30 rests)

Not at all what I wanted... 2 reps failing the 3rd quite high up. Perhaps some kind of mental block, as I haven't high bar squatted that weight for a single, let alone reps.
