Well new year and new journal.

First session today and decided to gibe the Ortmeyer deadlift routine a go. This could end badly

Worked out dead weights with a projected max of 260
Lots of streatching to try and aviod some of the back issues i had part way through last year

Warm up done then

The last 2 reps were really hard graft

Strict press

Push press/jerk

Underhand grip pull ups

All in all a decent enough start to the year. Just hope i can get some good gains this year

Ah your doing Ortmayer routine. I was going to start that then I twanged a rib muscle. what did 180x8 feel like? didnt fancy 10 reps then? Cool
You use straps mate?

Rodger 180x8 was hellish mate and i don't think 10 was there without the biggest hitch ever. Probably not the best wat to start the year but i might just repeat it next week. If you fail a lift then it's repeat next week so this could last me a good while.

Martin I'm not sure how this is going to pan out but I have found that lots of reps works for me so just keep with it for a few month and see what happens.

Squat seems to have gone down in a big way over last couple of month so hopping to build slowly back up

Then bench is slippy has hell and for some reason a slight decline so was all over the place

Cheers Rodger but it needs some big improvements. Unfortunatly due to work comitments this week looks like i might only get one session in but i'm hopping to make it two
