First session today and decided to gibe the Ortmeyer deadlift routine a go. This could end badly Worked out dead weights with a projected max of 260 Lots of streatching to try and aviod some of the back issues i had part way through last year Deads 60x10 120x10 140x5 Warm up done then 180x4,4,4,4 210x2,2 180x8 The last 2 reps were really hard graft Strict press 50x5 60x5 70x3,3,3 80x2 Push press/jerk 80x3 90x3 100x3 90x3,3,3 Underhand grip pull ups 5x3 sets All in all a decent enough start to the year. Just hope i can get some good gains this year | ||

Probably not the best wat to start the year but i might just repeat it next week. If you fail a lift then it's repeat next week so this could last me a good while. Martin I'm not sure how this is going to pan out but I have found that lots of reps works for me so just keep with it for a few month and see what happens. | ||

Last two were some really hard work Cleans 60x5 70x5 90x3 Last one pressed FTOH 100x1 105x1=pb first time since last march 107.5xf very close but missed the press. Will be there soon. Also equal pb on clean Cleans again 100x3 happy with that Pull upsx5,5,5 DB FTOH One Motion 30x5 each arm 40x5 each arm. Had to leave it there as the gym doesn't have and bigger DB's | ||

Hitched to hell and painfully slow 180x8 These didn't feel too bad Strict press 60x3 70x3 80x1 Overhead 80x3 90x3 100x3,3,3 Last set felt better than first. Not sure if i was hitting them harder or just needed a couple of sets to get timing. 5x5 pull ups Not bad session and very please with 235x2 no mater how ugly ![]() | ||
