Sort you deadlift out with less massive top end jumps then and remember any clean pull is good and any lift above 240kg is training... It's just a risk to put a massive weight on and in the event of a failure just srcap it off, you have the fitness to do a few more sets above 250kg before going for a PB

It is up to you but if you're not happy then it's up to you to do something about it... For me it was a big effort that didn't come off this time, no biggy

Dumbell was rushed but strong

Aye mate I agree. If I do 260, 300, 305fail, I do 2 working singles

As you say, a better approach would be 260, 280, 295, 305....or anything that involves a little more work

Saturday will be 300 from 15" for max reps....hope to hit 4-5

Sometimes it's easiler to have a bad session when your fully fit and when your injured/tired selective planning and targeting makes sure you don't fluff up

You could do 3 singles on 260kg... And to be honest I cannot see a bad deadlift outcome after doing this, it's excellent direct prep

Good point Mike.

Or go on how the warm ups feel which is usually a good indicator. If they feel poor, pull a good single on a safer weight like 280-290.

I'd get there just before 6 probably, so we can do it together.
Will have been off for a fair few days before so will plan closer to the time but definitely do a bit of axle since you're down.
