did one meal a day today , trained before eating never doing that again squats were horrendous just had no energy . Littler you are mad of sterner stuff than me!

squats atg barx5 40kx5 60kx5 80kx5 90kx5 100kx5

curcuit of 50 kettlebell swings (25 each hand) 20 kettlebell snatches (10 each hand) 5 assisted pistol squats (5 each leg) and 20 clean and press (10 each side) with 16kg kettlebells

squats felt very hard but i've been doing a lot of flexibility work and i was really pleased with the form and the depth . Dont really have any strength goals anymore but i do have goals to lift with good posture and full range of movement and today felt like a step in the right direction. Back felt good!

Loosing weight and lifting weights is kinda counterproductive in a way. The majority of us start lifting weights to get bigger, so why try to get smaller?

Why not just focus on being strong, fueling your body correctly, and setting performance goals?

Chances are you'll look and feel better.

Just my 2 cents

Yeah but I'm not talking about pounding down 6 meals of chicken broccoli and rice every day. Just eat sensibly to fuel your workouts.

I've always found that I've been in my best shape when I've focused on performance goals rather than just loosing weight.

For what it's worth I don't think your gut is massive, it just looks like it compared to your stick arms and legs
Happy

I had to get that in seeing as Boar has not bothered.

Did you ever compete in a BAWLA comp?

I paid for life membership last century, I haven't used it for a while.

ha ha yes fair comment ! i did quite a few bawla comps before switching to the u90k strongman as it was more fun and my gym lifts were pretty s**t but i was ok at moving with heavyish stuff.

i'm thinking about having a boxing match , i've always fancied doing it and if i don't do it soon i never will , what better way to celebrate turning 50 than getting battered ! I know Jay Pateman is involved with some form of unlicensed boxing so maybe i should hit him up on facebook.

I would quite like to get on the rowing thing but i currently don't have room and hopefully we'll be moving house soon (if we can find a suitable house) so it'll have to wait till after the house move.
