I have spent 2018 getting back to decent fitness - just about to rack up 10,000km on my bike .... but the next few months will be spent getting ready for the London marathon , I am still rehabbing my achilies tendon , its sore , but I'm being careful and managing to do plenty of running.


I have owned 3 concept 2 rowers in the last 8 years , but I am getting a hankering for my 4th ..... bacause I am a tool that cant stop selling things .....

I have all my kettlebells and am gently starting a strength routine to help with my running and general getting f**king old.


fair play Ned, you are still holding decent strength , getting very ugly though , and a bit too fat.

That's a lot of time on the bike there mr boar. I got myself a new road bike recently, been on a few 50km rides. Really enjoyable once I'm out but getting motivated is difficult at this time of the year, especially knowing the pounding my backside is going to get on that seat!

It was a great summer for cycling James ! some weeks i did over 200 miles , as for this shotty weather - I go on my turbo trainer and do online races on zwift ....

your ass gets used to the pounding after time, Ed will testify to that !

lols leave my arse pounding out of this , be careful with that achillies tendon mate you dont want to end up f**ked with a frankenstein achillies like me.

i'm lighter than i was when competing but also fatter , getting old is a terrible thing !

I will risk a revolt at work on tuesday and make the lads listen to radio 2 , but not til that c**t Jeremy Vine has finished.
