definetly got a very good base level of strength for events and other exercises, going to nick a couple of the shoulder rehab/prehab work as bit bored of face pulls.

what's you opinion on peaking for NOS2, well aware you could just ignore it but really have next to no experience of peaking this kind of lifting height specifically the axle deadlift, seen brian shaw said after arnold balls to the wall comp height pull 2weeks out and then next at comp really ensures he's around his max.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJcIntyW_-M&feature=related dont know if you have seen this but a good interview about donnie thompsons 3000 total.

Cheers JC - just on a nice steady build up at the moment. Expect fireworks in a month or two. Wink

Thanks Ian and Coupedog!

Youngy - I've played about with 'shoulder health' stuff for a while, yes. It's quick, easy to do and certainly doesn't seem to be doing any harm. Does it work? I can't really say, BUT I used to get quite bad 'niggly' shoulders from too much pressing. Recently I've been doing more pressing than ever before and shoulders have been absolutely fine. Coincidence - maybe, but I'm keeping it going regardless. By all means nick whatever you fancy.

Josh - re: prep for NOS2 - There's only a few weeks left now, so I'd only do another session or so from 18", then get down to comp height (is it 15" for sure, as Andy was talking about not using the tyres therefore making it lower?). I'd do a nice build up, adding 10-20kg per week, with the last balls out session 2 weeks before as you say. The week before I'd just pull something moderately heavy, maybe work up to your opener if feeling good. This is all IME/IMO. Some guys like to do it differently, this is just what I have found works best for me. will have a watch of that interview later.

Thanks Neil and John.

yeh not sure about the height as of yet, I made a thread on NOS2 but he didnt reply to it been busy of late I believe doing all the tables stuff and tracking down that olympian weightlifters wife,

will corner him in sv and get a definate answer he will probably be in on thursday or friday, to be honest wouldnt be bothered what height we pull from just as long as it's on a axle, dont lose any power at all with this bar.

I reccomended railyway wheels like appollan wheels but had no reply againUnhappy

Super squatting...and even better (and more promising) unsuited pulling tonight mate...a very comfortable triple

Get that raw pull upto 270 as we said, and you'll be looking at 310+ in the suit
