hey mate, its funny how great the session looks when you write it down, even if you were a bit flat throughout it! Good few PBs and then some sugden humiliation on the stones is bound to make you stronger Grin

Sorry mate, but this week is mine! I have absolutely no doubt you will nail the stone next week, strength is there for sure. (then again, i will go for the 150 next week!)

Yeah it's not too bad all things considerd I suppose - I just sucked at the stones!

I'm glad I didn't try the 150 holds though as my back is battered today!

I'm going to have to figure something out on the high platforms soon - I can't be falling behind! I'm up for some really heavy stones to low platforms with no tacky as that's what strongman should be about - what do you and Olly think? lolWink Well done yesterday mate - you are queen of the stones for this week!

yeah me and milsy were such pussies for not doing duck walks with you after 4 hours of training, lol!

suggestion: platform is nailed to that height from now on, better get used to these high platforms, maybe some day do lighter stones on 5ft as well!

Good to meet you too Alex - you are an extraordinary human being. I've never known anyone to successfully complete a lift after 2hours 40 mins of trying at the same weight! Why don't you just do it first time next time and save your energy? Grin

Not trained all week as I've had a knot in my back from the farmers holds on Sunday. Can't go all week without a workout, but dilemma time - it's stongman on SATURDAY this week so won't have much time to recover. What should I do upper or lower body - how about BOTH!

Thurs 22/3

Power jerks
60kg x 3
65kg x 3,3
70kg x 3,3
75kg x 3,3

Squats (belt)
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 3
160kg x 5 miles more stable than last week (although I suppose it was the first time in a while last week).

Deadlifts (belt)
60kg x 3
100kg x 3
140kg x 2
180kg x 1
200kg x 1
220kg x 5 PB (with belt only)First deads PB in nearly 2 years (since I injured my back in Sept 05), although I never did sets of more than 3, but I'll take it!! Reckon I coukld have ground out another 2-3 in 75 secs. More to come too.

Close grip bench
60kg x 5
80kg x 3
100kg x 3
120kg x 3
130kg x 2

Wide grip chins
BW x 5
+20kg x 5
+40kg x 5 PB I'm calling this a PB as when I did 40kg x 7 it was with my old Bodypower plates and we all know about those...

Not a bad one in the end - just hope I can still move on Saturday!

Decent session today with somewhat of a 'crew' coming together. Me, big Shawn, Joni, Olly, Alex and Craig.

Sat 24/3

Log press
67kg x 3,3
75kg x 2
82.5kg x 2
90kg x 1
100kg x 1,1,2
90kg x 5 PB

Farmers holds
130kg x 56 secs PB

Stones to 54 inches (no tacky)
105kg x 1
130kg x 1
140kg x x,1 PB
150kg x x,x

Again, just the height of the platform doing me in. I have a plan though and it involves some hair removal, some extreme pain and I think I may just manage the 150 next time.

Some great performances by the lads, Joni 97.5 log, 130kg farmers 16m and 140kg stone, Olly 160kg farmers holds 30 secs, 150kg stone, Craig 92.5 log, 110 farmers, 130 holds, and the 130 stone, Alex did much better this week on the log, good farmers too. Shawn made the log look easy but then hurt his quad on the farmers.

Looking forward to next week!
