TUE:

im still feeling a bit fukd from the comp on sun ive been lifting heavy doubles and single for the past month, aprils been very taxing on the body with 1st timers comp and P.L but im really glad i done both competitions.
so tonight i was looking forward to some light rep work?? it ended up with a benchpress body weight challange over 3 sets! me and my big fukin mouth the challange was thrown down too robertHappy

bench body weight challange 3 sets:

warm ups : 2 set 20reps 60kg

robert murray bdy weight 90kg
1st set 15 reps
2nd set 15 reps
3rd set 13 reps

ME body weight 110kg
1st 15 reps
2nd 13 reps
3rd 13 reps
robert murray winner by 2 reps (i let him winGrin )

usually i would be pumping out atleast 20 reps but i was cramping up big time!
after roberts 2 s**tty rep victory he decided he was injured and couldnt train anymore. so i done incline dumbells

incline DBELLS
24kg x 15 rep felt far too light
38kg x 10 rep
42kg x 10 rep
46kg x 8 rep felt very heavy getting up to my shoulders! robert gave me a spot with his pathetic injured 18inch bicepsGrin but once they where up there was no way they where going back down, comfy 8 rep.
then we went through next door to do some triceps but it really just turned into a perv session because we where in the laddies gymGrin

18 inch Deads 235kg for 3reps, 250kg for 3reps(my previous 1rm), 265kg for 2reps PB, should have had 3 or 4, but kinda stumbled at the top of the 2nd rep, lost my breath, and started coughing, so just stopped

Shrugs 150kg, sets of 11, 10 + 10

Calves-some

how do you find the 18in to normal floor deads martin?

I'd be more than happy to help mate, though I'm not sure how realiable my advice on squatting would be given the tit I made of myself on Sat attempting 200 lol! Grin
I'm just new to the sport having only started competing last summer and having only done 3 comps so I recon most questions are best directed to Ross as he is a far more experienced lifter than I, but if there's anything yourself or Robert want to ask then by all means fire away.
This might sound a bit dumb and I don't mean to be rude but who is Robert, does he post on here?

robert murray he's my training partner ross knows him, he dosnt post on here but he's on riot under the name "tryst".
although we've been competing for the past couple of years we dont take our powerlifting to seriously its pretty much just turn up and liftGrin but its about time we got down to some proper cycles and see those numbers improve, well thats the theroy anyway.

me and robert will be keeping an eye on yours and ross's journals in the run up to the scottish(july). you and robert are very simalar in sqts and me and ross in deadlifts both aiming for the same goals, you n robert want 200+sqts and me n ross 300 deads. hopefully we all achive our targets.
we might pick your brains for some tipsHappy
