i thought id start a training journal for the 1st time and see if it would help benefit my lifts in anyway.
i have competed in powerlifting for the past couple of years with my scores slowy heading in the right direction and hopefully i have alot more to come.
i do all my lifts unequipped apart from squats i like to wrap my knees due to injury. infact i havent squated yet this year because of knee and shin problems! im dreading my 1st session back!

feeling very sore today as i did my 1st strongman comp yesterday, i had a good day taking 3rd place overall although i didnt get a single PB out of the 5 events so i know i could and should have done betterGrin
im currently training for the scottish single lift comp on the 25th april. i will compete in bench and deadlift.

todays session: (as i said still soreUnhappy )
BENCHPRESS:
70KG X 5REPS
110KG X 5REPS
150KG X 2REPS X3SETS
190KG negative assist 2reps
110kg x 19 reps (was going for 20 but had nothing left in the tank)
then done some tricep work really light and hit the reps.

Dude, you don't need any help with your yoke, if you can sort that shin out you will fly!

However I think I could learn a lot from how you train your deadlift, that thing is scary!

i know ive got a couple of PL comps coming up but i'll still come through on sudays to the unit, maybe do the log thats annother id like under ma belt and its always good getting tips off you guys even drewGrin

Hi Maca will be good to follow your training and well done on your 3rd place on sat but I do feel bad for giving you a 2 sec penelty on the yoke & dw medley meaning you lost lots of points! Roll-Eyes Embarassed

haha! cheers stephen it was my fault for being a pleb! didnt realise i was only 8points from taking 1st place out rightEmbarassed
all i neede to do was come in the top 10 i think in the yoke and i would have won it and i fukd up big timeGrin

ah well now just to go for that 300 dead but ive been hanging around wae strong men to much think im hitching my 280 not ipf legalGrin
hope you make it to the single lift m8t.

just a quick session in and out deads and light bench.
DEADLIFT:
110KG X 2REPS
150KG X 2REPS
190KG X 2REPS
230KG X 2REPS (BELT)
270KG X 1 REP (BELT)
didnt feel up for it tonight was meant to go heavier or atleast 3 singles but thats all i could manage!

BENCH:
110KG X 15 REPS
110KG X 10 REPS
110KG X 5 REPS
easy enough got a right good pump.
