I feel fairly strong at the moment. I just hope my new squat power carries over more to my front squat, and my weightlifting. I'm under no illusions about being a good weightlifter due to lack of mobility/explosiveness/quads (plus being technically crap), but I do think I can get some semi-decent lifts in if I can be consistent.Adam - that was a low bar PB done years ago - high bar PB is 190 which I did last week, so I agree, I should be on for a new PB soon. JC - 227/272 would be great lifts for me. I honestly never thought my high bar would get anywhere near that high, but I'm starting to believe now. Wednesday 16th April Block snatch 40kg x 2, 2 50kg x 2 60kg x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 70kg x 2 Neck jerk 50kg x 2 70kg x 2 90kg x 2 110kg x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 Just did the bare minimum tonight. Jerks were better than last week, but not great. Just trying to get used to the positions in snatch - no rush with the weight. Finished session at just before 22.30 - after getting up at 5.00, so just happy to do something. | ||

Friday 18th April Dungeon session with Andy Power snatch + snatch 40kg x 2 50kg 60kg 70kg x 5 80kg x fail snatch 80kg x fail snatch 80kg x snatch only 70s improved as they went on. Shouldn't have tried the 80s really... Neck jerk 50kg x 2, 2 70kg x 2 90kg x 2 100kg x 2 110kg x 2 120kg x 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 130kg x 2 135kg x 3 PB 142.5kg x f, 1 PB 145kg x fail All jerked out - just tired in the end! Front squat 60kg x 5 100kg x 3 120kg x 5 135kg x 3 152.5kg x 2f3 PB - rubbish! I'm blaming the poor front squats on being tired from a long session. I'm sure there's 3 there a bit more fresh. I really need to get my front squat on the up now - will probably up them to twice a week from now on. | ||
