Hi Everybody

I train with SuperSteel101, and as he started a training log on here i decided to do the same. I have only been training since January, so any advice is welcome!

Deadlift Day

Deadlifts
1 x 10 70kg
1 x 5 120kg
4 x 4 147.5kg
2 x 2 170kg
1 x 10 147.5kg

Hyperextensions
2 x 12 BW + 25kg

Good Mornings
1 x 10 70kg
1 x 10 80kg

Barbell Shrugs
2 x 10 170kg

Yeah, i am in it somewhere and training towards that mini competition in December, hopeing to get 3 new PB's on the day!

I am training for powerlifting, allthough i am quite intrested in strongman too.

I thought I was pretty good at them, but I've got some serious competition on my hands now lol!

Light Bench Day

Bench Press
1 x 10 50kg
1 x 5 60kg
2 x 8 65kg

Pushdowns
2 x 10 40kg

Pulldowns
2 x 10 80kg

Rear Delt Cable Flyes
2 x 12 10kg each side

Reverse Barbell Curls
2 x 10 40kg

Pretty easy session, just the start of a new routine so will take a while to see how it works out in a few weeks.

Squat Day

Squats
2 x 5 60kg
1 x 5 80kg
1 x 8 92.5kg
1 x 8 95kg

Paused Squats
1 x 5 80kg
1 x 5 85kg

Seated Leg Press Calf Raises
1 x 15 130kg each leg

Hip Adduction
2 x 15 145kg

Crunches
2 x 25

Weighted Side Bends
2 x 15 25kg each side

Went quite well, first set of 8's on squats felt a bit easy, second a little tougher, should probably be using 97.5kg for both sets allthough i wasnt feeling at my best today. Paused squats went very well and i am happy with them, will be adding more weight next week - maybe up to 90-95kg.

Bench Day

Bench Press

Close Grip Bench Press
2 x 5 65kg

Rope Tricep Pushdowns
3 x 12 28kg (different machine to last session, so the leverage was completely different)

Smith Machine Shoulder Press
2 x 12 40kg

Rear Delt Cable Flyes
2 x 12 10kg

Barbell Curls
2 x 12 40kg

I am happy with the benching today, managed to improve my setup and technique quite a lot and i see a new PB coming on in the next few weeks, 90kg bench today was easy enough and my max is only 2.5kg above this. Last set of bench went a bit wrong, managed to get the reps done in the end but not quite as planned.

Deadlift Day

1 x 1 200kg (was going for a dobule, failed second rep just below the knee)
1 x 8 155kg

Reverse Grip Pulldowns
2 x 8 100kg

I was planning to do some stiff leg deadlifts and t-bar rows as well, but after the fail on the second rep of 200 and the 8 reps at 155 i felt terrible and decided to cut the session short today. Still quite happy i got an unhitched 200 deadlift after the previous sets. I changed my technique slightly today and found it works a bit better and i can feel deadlifts progressing quite well now.

3 x 3 70kg + 20kg chain each side (Paused)

Dumbell Tricep Extentions

Dumbell Lat Raises
2 x 10 12.5kg

Good session, went well and i really like working with chains. Got out a bit late and ended up walking home in the rain becasue the queue for Ibrox subway station was about 2 hours long as a game had just finished...

The walking was supergay I have to agree. My hooded top is still wet just now. I never enjoy walking around that area on matchday. As I said, it's like the polar opposite of Mensa are having a field day out and the carers have gone A.W.O.L.

Glad you had fun with those chains. I'll be giving them a shot in 3 weeks I think. I'll likely try the bands the week after that.

Heal up well man! I'm looking forward to seeing a 160 bench out of you in the not too distant future! I was gonna say I'm catching up but that's wishful thinking to a whole new level lol.
