There's a number that I hope to see one day! the bench was a bit dodgy, trying hard to get a touch in the next session, pretty confidnet in pressing 160 from the chest. the 170 squat was more of a challange getting down than squatting it, the suit wasnt quite seated properly and it really didnt want me to get down. Hopefully i can hit some nice numbers in it next week with a bit more consistancy, it just takes time getting used to it! you will be squatting 170 in no time man, your squat is coming allong fast! | ||

No boards so i just decided to see how close i could get to it. Bench 1 x 10 20kg 1 x 5 40kg 1 x 5 60kg 1 x 3 80kg 1 x 1 90kg 1 x 1 100kg 1 x 1 110kg 1 x 1 120kg ~3 board, shirt on 1 x 1 140kg ~2 board 3 x 1 160kg one came way off line, another was to about 2" and i pressed it with uneven lockout, and the final one was in the line to just below 2" but i had no strength left... Deadlifts 1 x 5 70kg 1 x 5 120kg 1 x 2 160kg 1 x 1 180kg belt on 1 x 1 200kg 1 x 1 210kg suit on 1 x 1 220kg 1 x f 227.5kg was well above the knee, this is my target in the competition now. Rack Pulls- from about an inch or two below where i failed the heavy rep, just above the knee 1 x 1 180kg 1 x 1 200kg 1 x 1 220kg 1 x 1 240kg 1 x f 260kg - back is strong enough i think, but my grip finally gave out... was using a s**tty smooth bar, i was supprised i managed to hold on to the 240 to be honest Pulldowns 3 x 12 70kg Chest Supported Row 1 x 5 85kg 2 x 5 95kg overall a good session, first time i have failed any kind of pull on grip... | ||

After adding 10-15kg to my total the shirt feels a lot better, mainly because i can actually press what i need to get a touch now. As you say, i just need to perservere with it and eventually it will work - i think a touch is possible very soon with 160kg, and if i can keep it in the line i think i can press it from the chest quite well too. I will definately leave more time before the next competition i decide to do for equipped work, this one snuck up on me a bit with travelling home at easter and such. | ||

Finished off with some hip adductor work. Overall a very good session, i am confident of hitting the 227 / 230 in the competition now, hopefully giving me a 500lb+ squat and deadlift at last. | ||

I paused the 2 heavy shirtless benches incase i didnt get a touch with a reasonable weight, they are essentially unequipped openers. Triceps are f**ked today so the pressing wasnt that good after the 110kg, but with the week off i am confident benching equipped in the open. Bench 2 x 10 20kg 1 x 5 50kg 1 x 3 70kg 1 x 1 90kg 1 x 1 100kg paused 1 x 1 110kg paused PB 1 x 3 120kg 3board shirt on 1 x 1 140kg 2board 1 x 1 160kg 1board - went down easy but couldnt press it as it came out of the line 1 x 1 160kg about 1/2" away from touch 1 x 1 170kg again, 1/2" away 1 x 1 170kg touch 1 x 1 160kg touch, pressed it half way but triceps are just destroyed right now and couldnt lock it out today. Strict Press 3 x 5 60kg Tate Press 3 x 10 20kg did some light front raises and rotator cuff work at the end. | ||

Aye it was nice to finally get it, allthough no chance in pressing 170 right now... allthough 160 is there. Todays deadlifting session, put the suit on early in hope of getting some idea of how the light weights feel in it for openers - everything went up really fast and without hitches. I am feeling happy about deadlifting equipped at last, allthough i think the suit only gives me about 10kg - i suppose thats normal for a conventional style deadlift. Deadlifts 1 x 5 60kg 1 x 5 100kg 1 x 3 130kg 1 x 1 160kg 1 x 1 180kg suit and belt on 1 x 1 210kg 3 x 5 100kg focussing on speed off the floor and hip drive. All i know is i got a near touch at 145kg and then worked up to 5-6? singles at 152.5 / 155. One of them went well and got pressed, one touched low and the spotters took it, one didnt even touch because it came out of line right from the start.What i can remember from today: Bench 1 x 10 20kg 2 x 5 50kg 1 x 3 70kg 1 x 2 90kg 1 x 1 105kg 1 x 3? 125kg 1 x 1 145kg 1 or 2? x 1 152.5kg 3 or 4 x 1 at 155kg I plan to lift in my shirt in the competition for sure now, hopefully getting that 600+kg total. My current equipped PB's add up to 595kg, there is definately more in the squat and deadlift to make it up! | ||

It was working quite well in the gym and the warmups seemed to go perfectly, just the attempts all went slightly wrong... I know i am strong enough to press 160kg off a 1 board and 155kg off the chest in it - next time i guess! Its all good experiance anyway. Squat 200 / 220 / Bench Deadlift 200 / 220 / I am still sure that the 230kg squat is there, due to there only being 4 lifters it was very fast paced compared to my first competition and i am sure i woulda got it with a bit more recovery time and focus. As for the deadlift, i was just completely knackered when the final one came around - i know its there very soon! 220 squat and deadlift are both competition PB's and equal gym PBs. Videos will be up soon. | ||
