forgot to update log yesterday, because nothing f**king happened. did some light pause squats working on form, and pretty much nothing else.

Today:
Bench
1 x 10 20kg
1 x 5 60kg
1 x 1 80kg 5sec hold
1 x 1 90kg 5sec hold
1 x 1 95kg 3sec hold
1 x 1 100kg 3sec hold
1 x 1 105kg 3sec hold
1 x 1 110kg
1 x 1 115kg
1 x 1 117.5kg - all lowered controlled and similar to my shirted bench style.

Sumo Deadlifts
1 x 1 60kg
1 x 1 80kg
1 x 1 100kg
1 x 1 120kg
1 x 1 140kg
1 x 1 160kg belt on
1 x 1 180kg
1 x 1 200kg - sumo PB

Finished off with some light lower back work.

Happy with the new sumo progress, looks like it is gonna be way stronger than my conventional very soon! Not to mention the advantages once i put a suit on...

Had a shot at 220 today, it came off the ground about an inch but i was just completely f**ked. When the glute heals up i think 220-230 unequipped easy, and probably 10-20kg or so out of the suit as it is now.

As per last week, i am now aware of how much glute and hip issues can affect the deadlift. 240kg equipped is a reasonable goal for you for year's end. I reckon you could get that. However i would still be a lot more impressed with a 220kg conventional, belt only effortTongue

1 x 1 150kg
1 x 1 180kg belt and suit bottoms

1 x F 220kg - came off line at the top, easilly strong enough to pull this...
1 x F 227.5kg - didnt get grip set right, and it gave out about an inch from the top - will get it next time for sure.

20min or so rest, then:

1 x 1 80kg
1 x 1 90kg
1 x 1 100kg
1 x 1 110kg
2 x 1 115kg - think this is a "comp bench" PB with the wide grip
1 x 2 60kg - focussing on speed
1 x 2 65kg
1 x 2 70kg

finished off with various stretching and generally distracting other people from their training session.

No s**t! Wink

Unlucky on the 227.5kg, no doubt you'll get it soon. Was it hook gripped?

Everything was hook gripped apart from the 2 heavy rack pulls. I was in the suit, and so its a bas***d to get down to the bar and get the grip set properly. Just needs some work, i have only been using it for a week or two now, cant expect it to be perfect every time yet.

Pause Squats - all strict form, deep with ~3sec pause at the bottom, apart from the two belted reps, that had ~2sec pauses.
1 x 5 20kg
1 x 1 60kg
1 x 1 70kg
1 x 1 80kg
1 x 1 90kg
1 x 1 100kg
1 x 1 110kg
1 x 1 120kg
1 x 1 130kg
1 x 1 140kg
1 x 1 150kg belt on
1 x 1 160kg

Finished off with back raises, hammy curls and reverse hypers. All 3x10.
