quick bench session today, just trying for a rough new max.

Bench
1 x 10 20kg
1 x 5 40kg
1 x 5 60kg
1 x 3 80kg
1 x 1 95kg
1 x 1 102.5kg
1 x 1 110kg PB
1 x 1 115kg PB

1 x f 120kg - stuck at about half way, will go up very soon

finished with some tate press and chest supported rows. Good 10kg bench PB with potential for another 5kg pb in the near future, quite happy with the improvement. Video to come in the next few hours.

Thanks guys, this routine really seems to have helped my bench come allong quite a lot. Sadly this was the only rep that got recorded and it looks pretty awful, with slight corrections in technique (ie - not dropping the f**king bar on to my chest at the bottom) the 120 isnt far away.

I'd have to agree Toby. If that was a 115, 120 is very imminent. Gotta congratulate you on how far your bench has come over the last couple of months.Your progress has been outstanding!

Thanks man, the pure volume of shieko seems to have helped loads. My progression was going quite well before that, i think i put ~5kg on it in a month, then another 10-15kg from this in a month. My goal for this year was 130kg, i am pretty confident of hitting that now.

Today will see what it did for my squat and deadlift!

Deadlifts
1 x 5 70kg
1 x 3 120kg
1 x 2 160kg
1 x 1 200kg (belt on)
1 x 1 220kg (PB but slight hitch because it got caught on the legs of the 'tard, and stumbled a bit at the top because of the hitch... so not counting it yet)
1 x F 220kg (pulled the legs up a wee bit, but just didnt have the energy left to pull it again)

Hope to hit the 220/225 deadlift very soon... and the 180 squat is in me right now i think.

Deapth was great on all of them, first one i looked down and it kinda screwed me up a bit, second and third the belt was a bit tighter and it seemed to help loads. I think the bar might've been a little off or i lost tightness a bit on the second attempt for some reason because it seems to twist a tiny bit on the way up... Happy with the 175, heaviest and best of the lot!

Thanks guys, technique still has a bit to go but its looking up at last. The routine has worked really well for me, and i think theres another 5kg in squat, bench and deadlift right now, hopeing it translates well in to equipment for the open!

compared to some of your earlier vids.

Thanks man, i have been working on it hard and taking on advice from everyone i train with. It seems to be coming together really well now but there is still a wee bit more work to do.

Another fun session today, i got the bench shirt out for the first time in a while. It seems to fit nicely now, i think it went on a bit easier than the last time and the top of the sleeve is sitting in a much nicer place. It still needs a little bit of stretching out and such, but with the recent gains in bench i am pretty confident of getting a pressable weight touching in the next week or so. Todays session:

Bench
1 x 10 20kg
1 x 5 40kg
1 x 5 60kg
1 x 3 80kg
1 x 1 100kg
Shirt on
1 x 3 120kg 4board
1 x 1 130kg 3board
1 x 1 140kg 2board (was a wee bit off)
1 x 1 150kg 2board (touched)
1 x 1 150kg 1board (not enough weight to touch...)
1 x 1 160kg 1board (~1cm away apparently, came up quite easilly)
1 x 1 160kg 1board (finally got a touch, but the line was a bit off - still managed to lock out but it wasnt pretty - PB)

CG Bench
3 x 6 80kg

The boards arent quite the standard 2" each, they are ~1.5". Going for a touch next session hopefully, i think i am strong enough to press 160 from the chest especially if i can keep it in the groove of the shirt...

some nice equipped squatting today, was a bit shakey as it was first time back in the suit but it is looking ok

Squats
1 x 5 20kg
1 x 5 60kg
1 x 3 80kg
1 x 2 100kg
1 x 1 120kg
Suit on (straps down)
1 x 3 150kg (very shallow)
1 x 1 170kg (again, shallow, around paralell maybe)
Wraps on + Straps up (not very tight)
1 x 1 185kg (deapth felt ok)
1 x 1 200kg (deapth felt ok but breathing was f**ked)
1 x 1 210kg (deapth again felt ok, was concentrating too much on breathing and ended up leaning in a wee bit. 2.5kg away from a pb, but with lighter wraps)

Hip Adductors
3 x 10 145kg

Weighted Crunches
3 x 10 ~20kg

finished off with various stretches and such.
The suit seems fine and i am hopeing to get something around the 225-230kg mark soon, 220 is the goal for next week!
