Cheers Steve mate! Ill have a look at that when I get chance (On my phone at the minute)

And yes, ill still be competing, it isn't so much Heavy benching that hurts it, its the fast snappy movements like, Jerk, Push press and as you saw, Cleans too! Unhappy

GPCGB Raw Powerlifting competition

Weighed in at 80.7kg

Squats

Opened on 155kg for a safe opener, it was snappy, no issues.
165kg for my second lift to equal my curent PB. Nailed it! easier than ive ever done it before.
175kg for a new PB and to put me into 4th place overall....GREAT SUCCESS!! It was a grinder, no doubt of that but 3 white lights said it was a good lift! Grin

Bench

110kg to Open, i can Rep this weight. with that in mind it was probably a bit too light to open with, as suspected, it flew up, no problems.
120kg i expected the same as previous, but no! i was red lighted, for lifting off the bench, silly mistake...
130kg WOULD have been my next lift but confidence wasnt great after the last lift so i went for a safeish 125kg, 3 green lights! and a definate 3rd place bench press.

Deadlift

200kg to Open. Quick and easy lock out.
220kg next, again quick and easy, nothing to report.
NOW. i assumed the scores would take into acount that i was a junior and there were only 2 juniors in my class, i needed a 225kg deadlift to beat him and secure what i thought would be a 1st place in the 82.5kg juniors class. 225kg was easier than the 220kg. HAPPY DAYS! Grin

Award time came and to my suprise, we were all scored as opens. so. i came...

3rd in class with a 525kg Total
3rd place bench press in class with a 125kg press.

As i said i assumed i would be marked as a junior and i would have had the top spot, but shudda wudda cudda, we didnt get marked like that, all in all though i am happy with the results!

Still felt like s**t from yesterdays Comp. Left it there and went home to raid the fridge.

Deadlifts

Went in with the best intentions, felt like a 230kg was in my reach...

warm up on bar x 10
warm up on bar x 10
70kg x 10
70kg x 5
120kg x 2
150kg x 3
180kg x 2
200kg x 1 (Felt Harder than the first time i ever pulled it Unhappy )
230kg - predictable fail...

Crap mood after that, left it there, not been in the mood for training since sunday...tired maybe??
