Englands strongest man North Qualifier U90kg write up

Weighed in at 79.9kg with all my clothes on...

Pendulum Press

7 Reps - i wasnt at all confident about this event, never touched a pendulum before and it was close to my axle 1RM in weight, nerves got the better of me too.

Deadlift

6 Reps - started to feel calmer after the first event and used the time as best as i could, nt pull two reps and walk away like i did in `The Champions of the Future`

Tire Flip and Drag

2 flips - i felt a twinge in my bicep straight away i tryed to carry on regardless but truth be told, i was struggling, so i left it where i found it...

Loading Event

2 Items - first two items went up in 12 seconds, bicep didnt seem to be hurting (probably because of adrenaline) went to load the 110kg Barrel and it was unmistakable, i knew id done something bad, i left it there and went inside.

I was later taken to a hospital in newcastle where their words where `we cant tell you what youve done` useless.
Next day i went to tameside general and was told i have torn a tendon between my bicep and forearm, pulled both bicep and forearm muscles and sprained my wrist.

looks like Max physio for a while...

Gutted to hear about what happened mate. Its probably of little comfort but i guess it could have been a lot worse...

Will you be able to train around it much? Time to get a mammoth squat!!

And so the road to recovery begins, dont see the physio till tommorow but ive had advice from a fair few people..
Dipped my arm in a bucket of ice water to take the swelling down the in warm water after, spent half an hour trying to squeeze a stress ball trying to get some blood flow going...

tedious...
