Started new role as deputy head so struggling to fit training in anyway...this should ease a bit after this term. Squats 60kg x 5 80kg x 5 100kg x 5 120kg x 5 140kg x 5 165kg x 3 175kg x 3 Bench 60kg x 5 90kg x 5 120kg x 5 140kg x 3 150kg x 3 150kg x 3 40 minute run. Decided I best start doing a bit of running as I'm doing the great Ethiopian run next month at high altitude! Not done any running in ages but I took it steady & felt better than expected. Managed to get round without stopping anyway! | ||

Really miss it & will go back to it properly at some point. | ||

Lots of hills & managed to get round without stopping so pretty pleased. Prob about 7 miles...pretty pathetic really but it's a start! | ||

Trekking up large mountains is reasonably straight forward. Ones that dont involve any technical climbing. Olympus in Greece (2700m) or Toubkal in Morroco (4100m) are both easily accessible from the UK and are both very big but without needing any technical skill. I can thoroughly recommend both. You could do either in a long weekend if you planned very carefully. Nice training Paul | ||
