Squats
60kg x 5
90kg x 5
120kg x 5
140kg x 3
160kg x 2
180kg x 1
195kg x 1
205kg x 1
Well pleased with squats today. After last weekend I wanted to prove to myself that 200+ is still there. Felt like there was more there.
Bench
Sets of 3 - building up weight over next few weeks.
Last rep of each set paused.
60kg x 5
90kg x 5
120kg x 3
140kg x 3
140kg x 3
140kg x 6! Long pause on 3rd rep then my coach told me to keep going! Well happy to get 6 reps out after pausing mid way through set.

Thanks mate. I've neglected the bench recently and I'm about 7.5kg down on my best so the plan is to get some hard work done in the next 6 weeks before the next comp.
I see you've started using a deadlift suit mate, are you finding it helps lift more?

my strength in the deadlift is my speed off the floor my lockout is quite weak well the weakest part of my lift so im hoping by doing t&g sets of 5 in the region of 180-210 tht my lockout will improve therefore making the suit a viable option for BSM at the moment in the suit the bar rises too fast catching me off guard as such .

That makes sense mate. My lockout is the weakest bit as well. People have advised me to do rack pulls but I find the best thing to improve lockout is doing heavy reps from the floor. I'm sure you'll get some benefit from the suit though. I used one a couple of years ago and got about 10kg out of it.

140kg x 5 Felt sharp pain in my right pec during 1st rep. Did another 2 reps to see if it stayed & it did so I stopped there. Hope it's a strain rather than a tear!

Not done anything since tweaking my pec on Tuesday. Wasn't sure how bad it was but as soon as I started benching today it was really painful soi stopped immediately. Think there must be a tear so I'm gonna try & see a physio in the week. Really gutted as bench was starting to feel strong again. Not used to being injured so I've got no idea how long these things take to repair!
Was so pissed off I hammered the squats!
