oly stuff

Lots of help and coaching from andy. Cleaning with 50kg and some overhead snatch grip squats. Gonna get down to adders 3x a week now, I know it will be the best thing for me.

Cheers andy for hanging around after and giving me advice.

speed bench paused...about a min between sets

bar x lots
70kg x 3
75kg x 3
80kg x 3
85kg x 3
90kg x 3
95kg x 3
90kg x 3 ,3 ,3

Rick really helped me with my set-up. Got a better arch now and I finally can put some leg drive into it.

push press from rack
bar x lots
30kg x 3
50kg x 5
60kg x 5
70kg x 3
80kg x 1
90kg x 1PB

Some chest supported row to finish off for reps of 8-15

Really enjoyed today. Looking forward to getting some work done on the oly stuff. Trained with rick who was looking very strong all around. Big phil hung around to have a chin wag and give some advice and thanks ofcourse to andy for all the advice.

Your bench looked a world better by the end of the session. You'll surprise yourself with it real soon.

I'm really quite jealous of your talent on the oly stuff. It's the road for you imo.

nice one mate, but what has hellped my is having my elbows driving through the bar, rather than out in front, and bringing the bar closer to my neck, on my beefy beefy chest

but you could well be doing like that for carry over to the jerk, i dont know

anyway, nice lift dude

u seen any strongman comps i can beat you at yet?

Was good to see a big fella hit those positions mate. If we leave 'my' anti authoritarian attitude aside for a minute it's worth pointing out that BWLA dosent have many (if any) super lifters, and at your age there are some good trips and experioences going begging for someone who can fill that gap. If thats the route you fancy I'm sure Alan and Jeff will be as excited as I was watching you last night.

Remember, weightlifters do because they can...Wink

ps liked the way you kept your elbows up on the pushie and drove through your body. NiceGrin

Thanks guys. I will do as im told and give it my all andyHappy. Thanks for the compliments.

Deadlifts
50kg x lots
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
170kg x 3
200kg x 1
belt on
215kg x 1

A bit of cleaning practice and chin wagging.

Deadlifts felt the best for months now. 200kg unbelted is the most weight i have lifted unbelted by miles since i hurt my back. I think my back is almost 100% now which makes me a very happy boyHappy. Been doing lots of stretching and i feel good for it. Bring on the comp!!!!!

Watching the clip - Good lifting Bru. Deadlift is more an impulse lift than form (I believe.) You have 3 seconds after your mind told you to get that f**king weight up. After 3 seconds I'll would've f**ked it up already.

When my names called I'll chalk my hands, walk past the bar without looking at it. Turn walk vertical to it, get my footing, grap the bar and pull with all I have. It works for me.

Cheers mate. I hang around at the bar sucking a bit of air in and than count down in breath's until i lift. I do the same for squat too, seems to clear my head nicely.
