Fri 25th

Platform deadlifts
60kg x 8
100kg x 8
125kg x 8
150kg x 5 x5 x3 x3
130kg x 5
100kg x 8

Power cleans
60kg x 8 x8
65kg x 5
70kg x 5
60kg x 10

Session was fooking tough. I wanted to make sure i finished the 5x5 within the next 2 weeks so i jumped to 150. This first set was fine but i knew when i had finished the second that i wasnt going to any many reps out of the next set. Will get 5x3 out minimum next week i hope and than i will decide what to do after that. Power cleans were a nice change, kept them light as my hams were pretty tired. Benching tomorrow so hoping for the best.

Vids will follow...

I know what you mean, outrage is never far away while you're midway through a tough set!

Good stuff man, you're on for a good PB. Looks like you need to learn to fight them out when they get hard though, you didn't battle it much in that last vid.

Bench
60kg x 8
80kg x 6
90kg x 5 x5 x5 x5 x4(sooo closeUnhappy)
80kg x 4(paused)
70kg x 8(very slow descent)

Incline bench press
50kg x 8
60kg x 6
72.5kgx 3
60kg x 6(paused)
30kg x 12(10 second descent..power up)

Had to make the session a tad bit shorter because i have to go see my grandad in hosp at 6. Session was pretty good and made improvement on last week but did not get the last rep. I'm now 6lbs lighter and a notch down on my belt so things are goin well. I think i will incorporate bands and boards or chains into my sessions soon because i am now a slight bit weaker on the top part of the rep after always being weak off the chest. I am contemplating what to do now, stay on reps of 5 but do 3 sets instead or go onto reps of 3's??? Help pleaase!!! Grin

Where you off hiking? Sounds like fun to me Grin!

As for your benching - I would strongly recommend you drop to sets of 3 - either 5x3 or 3x3. If you just drop to 3 set of 5, you are likely to run out of steam pretty quick Happy- Sure the other guys here will say the same Happy

We went to delamere forest for a 6 hour hike which was really good fun. I do really enjoy it and i would normally do it every other tuesday but i have been trying to gain some weight lately but now im trying to drop down slowly.
I think i will go onto 3's now.. Probs 3x3 because i think its time to start getting some more weight in my hands.

Belt arrived just now and attached the lever etc... works nicely. Just a quick enquiry about belts in general tho. I have always worn my belt just above the peak of the pelvic bone... But i have always worn bodybuilding type belts. This one is much thicker and i cant find where i should be wearing it. I know it may sound like a real newbie quistion but hey i am a newbie:P.

P.s i cant get the bugger off... tightened it too much lol.

Found a place for belt so thats sorted.

Squat
70kg x 8
100kg x 6
112.5kg x5 x5 x5 x5 x6
100kg x 6
60kg x 8

Deadlift
100kg x 5
130kg x 5
140kg x 5
150kg x 3
160kg x 2(f**k me these were grinders)
140kg x 6
120kg x 10PB
100kg x 5

Seated cable rowe for 4's 6's 8's

Today wasn't bad at all. Wanted to sqat because i hadn't been particularly consistant with squatting and today was good. Felt much easier than last session. The squats sure did take it out of me for the deads tho... caused the 160x2 to be real grinders.
