One thing that is actually of note about this training session and the other recent ones is that I am clearly now able to SLDL again. I used to do a lot of them years ago when training with Tom Martin, in fact 5 years ago I actually got my SLDL up to 230kg x 1. Shortly after this I injured my back and have been unable to do them for literally the entire 5 years until now. Aboput this I am very happy.

I very nearly didn't go in because I was feeling a bit ill and have been over working myself recently but a coin flip determined that I would indeed train.

Then on saturday I did a load of curls, tricep extensions and a kind of hybrid rope pulldown/facepull type thing which feels genuinely lovely on my shoulder joints.

My right hip is internally rotated and kind of "locked" in place. If I externally rotate it, it clunks. Sometimes it does a proper click and is then "fine", sometimes it doesn't. My right hip flexor is perpetually very tight. It is not helped by sitting down at a desk all day and/or drumming. It is now my mission to sort this problem out and fix it for good.
