squats 210 for 5 singles (Target reached) :)
Bench 130x8 then 6
Seated log in racks 98x3 88x6,6,4
yoke 210 in plates 3 20m runs had to keep adding up plates as felt far too easy. im wondering is this was due to no farmers this week, might start alernating heavy yoke/ light farmers one week then swopping and working on speed on the light weeks.


finally formulated a plan, going to back off a bit with the weight on 5x5 to work up to a new pb on 5x5`s to take me to the power lifting qualifiers then drop to 3x3 to take me to the sugden comp and the 105 qualifier. i want to get new pbs by at least 10kg in the squat and deadlift at the qualifiers and 5 on the bench.:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :(

a few points on the stones:

- Im guessing youre not using tacky? if thats right id get some and train with it if I were you. stone lifting is very different with/without tacky. I rarely train without it.

- have you tried doing stones without a belt? I think id be right in saying most dont use one for stones.

- instead of standing straight up with the stone you could try to lean back a little to try and get a bit of drive from your hips to get past the sticking point?

Cheers mate given them a try and seem to be helping

couldnt remember wednesdays weight but consisted of light squats,light deads and light log all for 5x5 then a couple of sets of 3 reps with teh 80kg stone over a 4 1/2 ft yoke

todays

squats 112x5, 121x5, 130x5,140x5,150x5
bench 104x5x5
chins bw+5x5x5
stones 80kg to 4 1/2 ft platform for 3 reps
yoke 220kg + weight of yoke 3x20m runs flying on these now
100kg stone to 4ft once, weight in this is off centre and managed to get it completly wrong and had to battle it upa and felt dizzy

squats 5x5 with 172.5
bench 5`s with 106,115,123,132 then 4 with 140 cant get over 4 reps with this dont know if it mental Unhappy
row 94x5 102x5 109x5 117x5 125x5

had to skip stones as it was little uns party and had to set off, will tag them on the end of wednesday. got a good idea for making some new farmers ill hopefully do at weekend.

last night

squats 5x5 with 147
deads 210x5,5,5,4,4
log 5x5 with 78 last set all cleaned
stones to 50" 80x4 in 60 secs, 80x4 in 50secs (im doing the negative aswell)
heavier stone first attempt missed, then 2 singles

starting doing farmers alt weeks as that seems to benefit me and the deadlifts wiped me out.

Still a bit wiped out from Wednesday did the first set of squats and was in 2 minds if I should continue but decided to plough on.

squats 142x5 152x5 162x5 175x5 185x4
bench 5x5 with 130
chins 5x5 with bw+15kg
yoke 2 15m runs with 240kg + weight of yoke

think i might have reached the sensible limit of what my yoke can handle it was really swinging might stop with this weight and work on speed cant be far off 300kg

really pleased with yesterdays session have a feeling that i could have done 140 for 5 instead of the 137 set on bench and pleased with the 147kg set could maybe have done the same reps with 150, looking good for the qualifier a week on sunday just need to get my plan for next week my first thoughts are to train monday as normal, do a bit of log and stones wednesady and leave it at that.

My farmers were my first attempt with my new implements made from a couple of 4ft sleepers and i was quite pleased with them although in future i might be better off using standard 20kg plates rather than olmpic as the plates occasionally banged into each other.
