has perfected the anvil roll Member 353, 3292 posts SQ 230, BP 160, DL 275665.0 kgs @ 100kgs UnEq | Had a play with a concept for a yoke today based around 2 of the bulk bags that b&q deliver sand in either end of a bar, started with one plate a side and worked my way up to 4, needs a bit of refining the straps are slightly too long and had the starps clamped between to 1kg plates perhaps 2 5`s might be better as the straps tended to come out when it was slack before lifting the bar.

Best way is use an incline bench in a squat rack, put the log on the saftey bars just above chest height( same as incline bench position ). The weight will surely start flying up on the pressing pal!

Rest the log on the safety pins which will be just off the chest. Then chest/shoulder press it, you'll find you can press loads more poundage seated! being able to handle a heavier seated log press will hopefully transfer through to a standing log press! This link below shows a picture of what i mean, but you do it in a squat rack for saftey, and also to save energy cleaning it every time from the floor. Easier to rest it on the pins! http://vikingninja.blogspot.com/2007/07/my-1st-strongman-compe...
