todays

deads 205x5 215x4 225x3 235x2 245x1
log +45 clean coldnt press +40 2x3
push presses 87x2x6
chins bw+5kgx4x8
Farmers 110x8m 110x15m

dont know what was wrong with log felt really off balance and really struggled to clean the weight was a big contrast to fridays cleans where it was easy think my head wasnt it and was trying to curl the weight again, made up for it on farmers was flying once I got them up the low pickup makes getting them up hard though, Going to have to work on my turns as running out of garden although now the weathers turning I might have to start doing them on the drive rather than the grass which will make for fun on the uphill runs, htached my new stone which should hopefully be in the 100-110kg range and might have a play lapping that friday it hasnt come out as well as my first one though.

Had a play with a concept for a yoke today based around 2 of the bulk bags that b&q deliver sand in either end of a bar, started with one plate a side and worked my way up to 4, needs a bit of refining the straps are slightly too long and had the starps clamped between to 1kg plates perhaps 2 5`s might be better as the straps tended to come out when it was slack before lifting the bar.

just had grand weighing of my log comes in at 53kg so really pleased that I tripled 95 yesterday. So should be good for at least one rep on the log if I do an under 105 qualifier.

Bodyweight overhead = strong! Nice going Jamie. Was thinking of trying to get down to the 100s myself, but going up against yours and Bens deadlifts?? Might just go for the 110sGrin Grin Grin

Just a the 'Thing' states, try some incline log pressing. Best way is use an incline bench in a squat rack, put the log on the saftey bars just above chest height( same as incline bench position ). The weight will surely start flying up on the pressing pal!

Anywhere between 45 to 80 degrees will do. Rest the log on the safety pins which will be just off the chest. Then chest/shoulder press it, you'll find you can press loads more poundage seated! being able to handle a heavier seated log press will hopefully transfer through to a standing log press! Happy Hope this helps?

This link below shows a picture of what i mean, but you do it in a squat rack for saftey, and also to save energy cleaning it every time from the floor. Easier to rest it on the pins!
