Knees still ropey so still didn't squat and managed to squeeze a quick one in around taxiing kids to assorted school discos and going for a end of term works do

Knees pretty much sorted so could finally squat again. Expected to take a hit but continued where i left off. Moved my stance fairly close as it seems to help me squat more upright

All being well going to attempt a 45 min kettle bell class with the 16 tomorrow which might hurt a bit

garage was like a sauna today so slowed the pace down a bit

deadlifts 207x3 227x3 247x3 last one wasnt as smooth as i would like out of talc so stuck on my legs

had them years mate, they are covered in rust and look like they shouldnt hold a 5 year up but seeing as i`m getting leaner though i`d do some ab work ready for my hols.

Bit of an emotional day, mrs had an interview for her dream job as a pediatric nurse in A&E so spent most of the day hanging round for the phone, The rung her around 5 to say she had got it Happy

Mid morning was sat in the hot tub and the man from a few doors up came knocking on the door, they repeatedly have bonfires which stops us spending as many evenings in the garden as we like and refused to talk when I went round so i reported them to environmental health, They had got a letter telling them to stop so he came round to be clever and say he had been in touch with the council and he could have them in the day, It was quite comedic as he must have knocked once before bottling it, as I was in the hot tub round the back I ended up coming through the side gate wearing soaking swimming shorts and flip flops giving him my best p*ssed off look I normally save for year 8`s who havent done their homework but this time it was for real. He was hurridly walking backwards towards his house ranting at me and then the staffy burst through to see what was happening, shes like me in dog form looks like she should be hard but soft and dopey. I had to try and look intimidating and catch the dog before it ran on the roadwhilst making it look like she had come to give me back up. If hes going to be a bell end about it i can see the police accidentally getting tipped off about teh cigarettes he sells to school kids from his front door. After all this and sitting in the sun all day by the time becki went to work for nights training felt like it would be hard work.

Squats felt a slight niggle in my lower back during warm ups so decided to attempt the first set and see where it took me, didn't feel right so left it at 170x8

Beckis on nights again tomorrow so probably train tomorrow night again so left it at that

Dragged weights into the sun today

bench 115x8,7,5 72x20 72x18
bent over row supersetted with plate laterals
rows 75x3x15
laterals 10x3x13


Yesterday:

Tidied the garage so it doesnt take longer to make space to train than it does to train and so I could access the treadmill

Squats 170x8 180x6 190x3 could have managed another but back niggle was still there so kept it in me
press 55x18 55x13
bw chins 16,8,8
gravity boot situps bwx13
started running on the treadmill but as its been stored upright belt was really slippy with silicone oil so left it

Today:

metafit (kind of insanity) class followed straight after by kettlebells which I managed with teh 16 Happy, felt dead after the meta fit but in the 10 mins before kettlebells recovered and found the bells fairly easy

Never got round to entering mate, feel pretty weak at the moment
Today:

had one of those sessions where its a disadvantage training at home as kept getting distracted between sets with watering the garden etc.

deadlifts 200x4 230x3 250x1 felt back niggle so didnt go for the planned triple 220x5
bench 115x8 115x7 115x6 75x20
tbar rows supersetted with plate laterals rows 80x3x15 laterals 10x3x15

think my experiment of deadlifting every 10 days has shown i need to do them more frequent although my volumes pretty pitiful maybe if I did something like 5x5 with 220 rather than going for a max triple top set I would get more from this approach?

kind of felt I was going through the motions and saving myself for tomorrow intend to run tomorrow morning and kettles tomorrow pm

hadn't done any proper squats or presses for 9 days so train ed this am, plan to train again after tea as I wont train until saturday now.

squats 170x8 180x6 190x3 would have liked a 4th same weight and reps as last time but much tighter and atg
Chins bw 16 8 8
strict press 60x8 65x6 70x4 probably too light but will ramp up soon enough

going to start putting some leg curls in with the presses on this session to try and bullet proof my hamstring

second session of the day. As a stand alone session eouldnt have been one of my better ones but based on fact i trained this morning it was ok

deadlifts 202x3 232x3 252x1 222x5

Wonder if theres somthing in this twice a day training felt less rusty. While i have the luxury of the summer hols might try a morning kettlebells session so as not to wear mysrlf out but do whst ever magic takes place with my joints?

the lay off seems to have helped my clicky shoukders too Smiley

Couple of days away so eatings been a bit off but hasnt made any difference.

Squats 172x8 182x6 192x3
bw chins 18 (got to be a pb) 8 8
strict press 62x8 67x6 72x4 60x10
leg curls 30x6 felt my hamstring in this but in a nice way 30 used to be my warm they need some work might finish every session with a set.

Tempted by doncasters strongest man the end of the month what I`ve lost in strength I can make up in fitness but will have only just come back off holiday hmmmmmm

Today was one of those days I wish i didnt train at home every two minutes kids were coming to ask me stuff

deadlifts 207x3 237x3 257x1 should have gone 207x5 but my heart want in it.
bench 117x7 117x2x5 80x20
t bar rows 90x3x15
lying leg curls 30x7

shoulders seem fairly tired lately might be over doing the kettlebells a bit, in laws are taking the kids to football later so may have a run.

Rare afternoon with Becki at work and the kids out with the inlaws so went to xcercise4less for a "real" gym session, with the aim of thrying to work out why my squats are wonky. not sure how people train in commercial gyms a one off session was nice but i think it would do my head in on a regular basis. Had to wait ages for a squat rack one lad was using one for presses, dont know why he didnt clean them and the other was being used by what seemed to be blazing squad (except there were more of them) doing a set every ten minutes or so.

squats 175x8 somebody jumped in and spotted me the last two reps which was kind of him but I didnt need it, 185x4, 195x1 reps on the 2nd two sets were pity full wanted 2 more each set but seeing as the aim of the session was to work out why im wonky i think I`m slightly off centre and I put one foot in front to the other when I unrack so I dont think my feet are in line, I was also going even deeper than usual which didnt help

chins as I was training with my nephew rest periods were down to the time it took him to do his set 19,7,6

strict rep first rep power cleaned 65x8 70x6 75x4 60x8 then 3 jerks gain rest was down to the time it took my nephew to do his set

then had a bit off a mess about on the climbing frame thing which was fun
