do you always press overhead so wide?

never really thought about it mate, normally use what feels comfy, do u think a closer grip would help me shift more?

This morning 2mile jog with mrs A.

This afternoon:

squats 180kgx5,5,5,4,4
Bench 5`s with 112,12,130,137 then 2 with 147kg
Chins 5x5 with bw+30kg
Farmers 100kgx20m 110kgx3m (grip went Unhappy ) 90kgx40m
Cross Carry 100x20m 100x20m 50x80m

Plan is to train monday and weds then rest up til sunday for the under 90 comp then train tues and thurs and rest up for barnard castle, before dropping to 3x3 in preperation for strongman north.

Boar: Ben didnt really get in the way he just insisted on mending my implements with a spanner between sets, I blame it on bob the builder.

Cheers for the comment on the garden Mrs A will be chuffed it was just mud when we moved in 2 1/2 years ago.

Another solid session Feel I`m back to my best and ready for sunday.

deadlifts 220x5,4,4,3,3 could have probably hit another rep on most sets but kept some in the tank.

Log press 93x5,5,4,4,3 1/2 Bringing my legs in is really coming on now.

stones to 5ft 90x3 90x3 120x3 lappings, Im slowly getting higher standing up with it.

that cross thing looks fun. bet heavy pickups with that would be interesting

Cheers mate when I drop to 3x3 next week I`m going to stick some pickups in somewhere.

did you buy the zercher thing to train for a specific competition, or do you just enjoy a different veriety of pain !!

Bit of both mate, Due to my desire for pain I`ve somehow decided to do the open strongman north where I predict penty of pain and no repping, Theres a 190 cross carry and this seemed to be the nearest way of training it, It also hurts a lot which is an added bonus and leaves nice bruises on my arms for scaring the kids at work.

No mate Im ict services manager (sounds posher than it is) for a couple of secondary schools although when kids are older and we are more financially stable I want to go back to uni to be a primary techer.

Todays Trainig (last one before under 90 qualifier):

squats 147x5 160x5 170x5 182x5 195x1 (plan called for 5 but left it at that didnt want to kill myself for sunday)

bench 135x5,5,5,4,3

Axle cleans scaffold +80kg 3,4,4,4,4 plan was to do normal cleans and then continental to take it to 5 a set but no matter what i keep resting it on my belt.

yoke press 89kgx3,3 took previous advice and narrowed my grip and used my legs.

just need to worry about getting under 90 now
