Band squats - red bands adding 30kg at the top.

60kg x 5

Next sets all reps paused

70kg, 80kg, 90kg, 100kg x 5 reps

115kg x 1 easy
125kg x 1 a little bit harder

150kg x 2

215kg x 3 PB (had a lapse in character on 2nd rep but had a talk to myself)

Took a trip with Buzz and Youngy down to Burns Gym in Dumfries for some practice on some of the kit that will be in the novice comp in a couple of weeks. Did the overhead medley in just over 30secs, tried the fingals finger, tyre flip, farmers walk, deadlift hold and the prowler. Feel a lot better now as I was worried about ax few of them, but not any more.

You're coming on very strong beard. The gym there looks pretty good too. Do you feel that your crossfit background helps much with conditioning? I've noticed that you're really good with the endurance side of things whether it be farmers or high rep log.

I think it does but I've not done any conditioning for a few weeks now, need to do at least one session a week.

Back was a bit sore and tight after event training on Friday and Saturday. Tweeked it a bit today in work so didn't train. . Hope to f**k it heals up fast.

Tried to do some overhead stuff In wednesday but back was still too sore.

Was feeling much better on friday so tried some light events.



Back felt awesome, a bit tight but just need to warm to properly instead of just jumping right in. A couple of more sessions then a few days off in prep for Dumfries comp.

safety bar squats

Speed dead lifts with purple 35kg at top

50 x 3
90 x 3
120 x 3 x 6 reps

Very happy with how today went, didn't push it in the 5+ set just took the reps but really chuffed to get the 152.5kg.




Day off tomorrow then a session in Wednesday then resting up for Sundays fun and games.
