A really good session tonight; Joni came down and broke his Adlington duck, squatting a nice 200 double in knee wraps. It won't be long till Boar gets him in a suit.

Davo squatted a great 400lbs after three heavy triples!

Pleased with my squats, quite solid on the whole - again, last set easy, 5 there probably.

No videos sadly.

Must be looking at 190 in competition?.....
AvatarJoni
dude, that first rep of the third set on squats was what you are after man, that was fast and powerful!

Thanks for the ride and talking me to come to adlington, good session man!
AvatarDavid
Brilliant squatting tonigh Rob, 3rd set especially was an absolute corker. There was 5 there for sure, 400 next week is a given. I'll look forward to it!
AvatarRick
Superb. Your progress has been damned good on everything, but your squatting is unrecognisably improved. So is it to a 400lbs single next week, then?
AvatarCuddles
Top squatting mate!
AvatarRob
Thanks lads. Joni; it was a pleasure mate - anytime.. just let me know.

Tokar! 190 sounds extremely optimistic and frankly a little ludicrous to me right now. Maybe it isn't, but it just sounds like a hell of a lot of weight.

I'm not going to get carried away here or take anything granted; each lift will get the respect it deserves. I'm going to squat upto a heavy single next week, if I get 400lbs I will be delighted but I really can't see myself getting anymore.
AvatarBoar
great sesh rob, its a shame i didnt bring boarcam, would have been nice to get joni in on some boarTv production...next time... infact all the lifts would have been good on film including my momentous failage.

onward !!!!

man ur too negative... only reason you wont hit the weights you want is because u think you cant
AvatarBoar
well 155 was robs previous best single, 3 triples at 160 which for me is 175, close enough to 400lb's to take a punt, either way, smashing progress bigfatrob !!
AvatarRob
Craig; if planning for a 22.5 kilo PB is negative then you will have to send me exact instructions of exactly what meets your high standards.
Avatartokar
I'm not saying 160x3x3 translates to 190; but looking at how easy your lifts have been I think you have it in you pretty soon.
big49ersfan
im winding you up rob... keep up the hard work.

105 paused flew up, should have got 107 on the basis of it. A little disappointed not to; as Alan pointed out though it drifted out a little too far forward and I couldn't really grind it out.

Whacked 110 on for a touch and go PB.

I am getting a hair-cut tomorrow. When a gym full of bald men tell you that your hair is too long then you KNOW it's too long.

* Video should be authorised later tonight
