Did you do the all mids ? I used to lift in the 110s (sorry to highjack you log Mr Ed I would be up for a sesh at Wills sometime just difficult trying to fit around life work family etc)

Stuck to the East Midlands. Letchworth, Yardley or Colchester mostly.

keep forgetting to update this:

I was on holiday this week just gone and snuck a sneaky one in with my son , deadlifted 150x5 160kx5 180kx1 and 110kx5 semi sumo benched 80kx5 90kx4 90kx3 squatted 90kx5 100kx5 110kx5 bent over row 70kx8 80kx6 80kx6 then 3 3minutes rounds on the punchbag with a minutes rest inbetween.

today benched 80kx8 90kx5 100kx1 then did 2 sets of 60kx10 as slowly as possible as my wife is reading a book about lifting as slowly as possible for strength gains and I think its bo***cks , but she persuaded me to try it to prove it one way or the other.

got a bit of a groin strain so no squatting this week

Not too many upper 40’s people squatting anymore. Do you ever yoke squat? Starting from the bottom is challenging. Will you ever get rid of the belly?

Hi Billy , no never yoke squatted , I have done bottom up squats in the rack they are properly tough . I have resigned my self to always having the belly , about 5 years ago I dieted and got myself a 6 pack unfortunately it left me with the face a crack addict , so ive decided to choose face over bellyGrin

115k is a genuine all time beltless squat pb , which just goes to show how bad I am at squatting without a belt.

my son benchpressed 100k for the first time today , he's 18 and weighs less than 10 stone
so I reckon that's pretty good benching.
