I'm about 108-09 last thing at night mate. Ideally I would have liked to compete on the qualifying day at 112, but 108 is still a good weight for me

How often do you front squat JC?

Do you think it is important for a strength athlete to keep up his or her front squat? You hear figures like 85% of your back squat banded about.

Do you reckon powerlifters should do it?

Not that often TBH doc. Either (a) if my back is bad due to yoke or (b) I just fancy a change

I think for a strength athlete, as long as you're doing one form of squat, that should be sufficient

As a PL I probably wouldnt front squat unless I had a real quad strength weakness

I have always found front squat is transferable to my deads and stones in particular, suprised they arent trained as often by people really, specialy for people without access to stones, bent over rows and fronties would be perfect assistance to them surely you not think? Good luck aswel for worlds mate!

I think for some front squats are very good for stones, yeah mate

But for me, it never had any transfer whatsoeva. When I did a 210 FS, I still couldnt load a 150 stone Roll-Eyes Wink

Oh and thanks mate...dam shame you wont be there too

That doesnt suprise me having watched your back squat vid

You appear to be very back/hamstring/hip dominant squatter

Front squats is all quads

I am indeed.

And, if watch me front squat, you'll see me trying to do the same thing and load the muscles I know are strong.
