280kg x 1 (easiest its ever felt, so went for PB attempt)

Cant wait for the day i can say that.

Strong session Ben - as ive learnt recently not every session can result in a PB. Which is f**king annoying.Unhappy

Yeah, I trained a bit daft last night really, but on the other hand if either the deadlift or power clean had gone up I would have been buzzing! lol

Back to a little bit of repping now though, and start thinking more seriously about the Adders meet and what I need to do.

Have to admit that i keep going training with the intention of doing some repping but if im feeling strong and the lifts feel easy then i get carried away and start going for a PB.

Need to learn how to resist and put some solid repping in.

hey the way that 280 looked, it was worth it to go for the pb mate. And i dont know how you say "no where near" when you already get it fair few inches off the floor Grin

good work!

Looking good there.

Out of interest, you seem to pull a lot of singles in the deadlift. Is this your usual strategy when building up for a 1rm? If so, how do your you structure your build up?

Hi James, no structure to my deads at the moment. I did some sort of build-up to the World Singles but I was a bit short of time and it didn't do much/anything for me (pulled 285kg). Between now and the Adders meet I will definately do some speed deads and maybe some heavy singles if it feels right. Are you entering the Adders meet again mate?

Yes. Money has been sent!

Hoping to hit a proper PB this time as last year I really missed my peak (pulled 10kg below my best at the time). Somehow I seem to prepare better for deadlift for reps. This is of course the secret motive for asking about how you prepare...

Nice one. I will have to catch up on your journal for tips cos I am pretty poor for reps, mostly as I just don't like them!
