very disappointed in hindsight. my current bench PR (which I barely got last time I tried it) went up as if it were weightless. then I missed 105 three times in a row, for which I received a telling-off from Smallers. I have adopted a bad habit of bringing the weight down too slowly and stopping/pausing it on the chest, and then wondering why it doesn't subsequently move.

must strive for improvement!

a 46-minute walk in the morning, then just before lunch, a good session with The Small One.

olympic-style squats (weights in kg)
some warmups
120 x 3
140 x 2
150 x 1
160 x 1
170 x 1
175 x 1 new PB at this (lower) bodyweight

upon the Small's instruction:
140 x 5 for 2 sets
140 x 6, went to rack it at five but Smallers demanded I did a 6th, so I did.

had a kinder surprise egg post workout, and received a dog which keeps rolling over onto its head. pizza in the oven now...

Give me a month and I should be in 130 territory, BOARSKI, and another month after that 135 I reckon, I was good for 125 single or so 2-3 weeks ago. so I just need to GET SOME REPS IN and all of that.

The state of my brother's quadriceps unfortunately do belie their ability to squat 120kg, believe it or not. He's done it several times, in two countries no less, though we'd have to measure the differing gravitational effects of being in sun-drenched Cyprus versus being 'oop norf' to truly measure the maxes.

I keep telling him to superset the hack squat machine and leg press after squatting for quad growth but he just won't listen...

PBs shall fall in a month or so good sir, SOLID STUFF!
Bench predicted 1rm this first week: 109kg
Squat: 191kg

for all interested this is just with a 1rm calculator, and we will do max singles testing in a month or two to see how the progress went, will post the predicted 1rm's each week to see if the high reps are all progressing the 1rm.
