Thanks again. 260kg is definitely the next stop!
AvatarSparrow
2/2 Strongman Saturday! Just Hayden (the prodigy) and debutante Jonathan today. Solid sessions from both of them.

Log press
70kg x 3,3,3, 80kg x 2, 90kg x 1, 95kg x 5 PB,5,5, 80kg x 7

First set of 95kg on the log

Yoke
80kg x 20m, 160kg x 20m x 2, 240kg x 20m, 280kg x 20m, 320kg x 20m (3 drops)

DO axle deadlifts (60mm axle)
80kg x 3, 100kg x 3, 120kg x 3, 130kg x 1, 137.5kg x 1 PB,1

Second single of 137.5kg

Stones (to 54 inches)
105kg x 5,5, 130kg x 3

Seated rack lockouts (with axle)
40kg x 3, 80kg x 3, 100kg x 3, 110kg x 1

Good session. Log felt good today, definitely another rep or 2 in the tank on the 95's (at least the first set anyway). Had nothing left for the 80kg drop down though. Yoke was very hard today (the 320kg anyway), just felt really f**king heavy! Angry Axle deadlifts (DO) were really good, pleased to get 300lbs on them. The video didn't work on the first single, so I had to do it again (on the video), and it wasn't as good as the first one. Stones felt really good today, very easy. I seem to be finding a more considtent technique with these now, they all flew up. Roll on next week!

nice sesh , axle looks awsome !! should have put them car tyres on there for extra strongmanability
AvatarTony
Your arms look very bent on the axel deadlift.

Nice session though.
AvatarSparrow
I would have Jonny, but I had a bot of a nightmare with them. I took the discs off and tried putting my new wheel adaptors on (specially made for putting wheels on to bars), but rhey didn't fit Angry Couldn't be bothered to put the discs back on so just used bumpers.

Cheers Tony - I don't know why they do that - it must help with the gripConfused

Good work, nice deadlift on that bloody axle!

Are you guys training next week or was that the weekend you were saying clashes with the Scottish qualifiers?
AvatarSparrow
Cheers guys.

I'm still not up to your standard yet Will, but as you can see I'm working on it!

Dave - next week is the SSM qualifiers. We will still probably train, but not on the Saturday. I'll let you know when we'ere training mate.
