Hi guys

I'm getting back into training and I'm building a basic gym in my backgarden. This is going to have barbell, bench, kegs, sandbags, farmers etc

I've been think I'd do

Day 1- squats, deads, rows, pullups all higer reps
Day 2- bench, strict press, cg bench
Rest for couple days
Day 3- squats heavy, keg or sandbag walks, farmers
Day 4- log or clean and push press, pulls/pushes, loading

Now is it stupid to do 2 days of events type work? I know most people only do 1? Or shud I change my idea and have 1 event day and 3 gym.

Tho having the equipment there, can I incorprate strongman and gym training on the same days?

Cheers
Lil john

things ive found to help the pain is keep walking, keep it lsoe as said

and a static back press as said by pete egoscue.
lye on your back, feet on a chair/ couch etc so legs go at right angle to floor and then bend at knee onto the chair. like-

http://williamcampbelljr.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009...

but have hands on stomach and breath. could take 10mins, could take 2 hours. but i ahve found this awsome for the pain expecially when its really bad. worth a try.

spent this week doing some pain relief exercises for the back.
started a egoscue routine last night for back rehab. still not got garage sorted as may be being made redundent. so no money atm. so just concentrate on back getting right atm.

great little fun things, expecially when starting out. and still fast and so good on the corners.

» Back injury- strengthening core etc (Go to post)09-04-2009 @ 22:57
i would have thought it would be best without so the belt dosnt assist the core.

i love front squats. maybe start nailing more of them.

been reccomended a book a few people have used and is on its way to me.

that why as soon as i can move again i start doing some core and other stuff, manages to free it up. i was thinking unweighted good mornings. tried some other day but was very difficult. though keep doing them should improve and hopefully ill be able to get lower etc.

asprin, interesting.

yeah it gets to where i just cant do anything. which annoys me to no end. i seem to be ok squatting, when i keep triple or higher. just pulling.
some great advice cheers guys.

the core stuff i do was from the physio. with some extra plank work put in there.

that sounds intresting haha. will try figure it out and have a go

icepick- i suppose, i do love deadlifting though. myabe i can use other stuff to get there, but would think fairly important in strongman stuff in the future? and if its possible i still want to train to compete one day.
