On the sets with 155kg my lower back felt really weird. Not particularly painful but it felt like there was a lot of pressure on the very bottom of my spine so I left it there. Hopefully it will sort it's self out.

After slightly injuring my back and starting a new job my training pretty much got totally derailed for a while. Since my life has suddenly changed quite a lot with the new job and stuff, I have been letting my training just be a bit crap for a bit while my new daily routine falls in to place. I also had 2 weeks off work during which I re-evaluated my life and priorities a bit, as I had been wondering if dedicating hours and hours every week to the gym was actually worth it for my life goals and stuff. The answer is still fairly inconclusive but that's where the whole "letting things fall into place" but comes into play. Anyway luckily my back seems to have recovered now, though my strength levels and training are still in a state of xylophone buggery.

I will leave a good few of my sessions that I have done over the passed week or 2 undocumented. However this is what I did yesterday:

bench:

bar
40
60
80

92.5kg x 5,5,5

barbell rows

60kg x 20
80kg x 10, 10

strict press

bar
40
50

55kg x 5,5
50kg x 5

rear delt flies

When I look back at my life...mostly holidays being able to take my top off and feel like the bogs bo***cks.

Old now but my mental image of myself is still the dogs bo***cks...and there is a lot to be said for that mate.

I agree! I love being jacked. I would struggle to going back to not being jacked. I am definitely going to keep lifting, I'm just questioning how much I care about squats, bench and deadlift.

Anyway I decided over the weekend that I am going to do another cut, since I have got slightly fatter than usual. I am perfectly happy with the way that I look but 1, I think it would be a good way of giving my training some direction and 2, I have what will be my biggest gig yet coming up in a few weeks and I know there will be photographers there and loads of people watching and drumming with my aesthetic torso out is kind of my unique selling point.

Yesterday:

bench

bar
40
60
80

95kg x 5,5,5

strict press

bar
40

50kg x 5,5,5,5

some bodybuilding stuff.

Friday I did some squats.

I did however play the biggest gig of my life so far last night, supporting the legendary Greek band Nightstalker. That was very enjoyable I tell you

I had a tattoo done on my forearm on saturday and whilst its healing I can't really do much training but that suits me pretty well at the moment since I havn't been enjoying it that much recently.

bulgarian split squat + 9kg kettlebell

3 sets of 15

belt squat - I still haven't got the hang of this machine

4 sets with not much weight

single leg leg press (focusing on glute activation)

3 sets - actually felt really good!

hyper extensions - 3 sets

abdominal thing - 3 sets

db side raises - 3 sets

That was pretty much every exercise I could think of that doesn't interfere with my forearm skin.

This duo of words makes me think of "foreskin".

Does the tattoo involve "loal" in some way?
