Really good work at the comp mate.
Looks like you may get up to, or surpass your previous strength levels if you carry on the way you're going.

Thanks mate, I can't help but be disappointed though with the squat, if it was passed I'd have been 2nd, 2.5kg off the winner. But it's my first year and I'll win it next year!
Yeah it's strange how it's all going, I really think events training for strongman really hampered the big 3's progression. I'm also paying a lot of attention to diet now, and it's really helping. Being drug tested means that there's only a couple of ways to progress now, eat better and train harder, which I'm always trying to do!

That would have been an even better result!
I suppose there are lessons to be learned from it - leave the judges in no doubt!
Events do batter your body for the big three - I've just started doing them again after not doing them for a few years, and I have to say - I'm really enjoying getting back into them!
Plus I'm so weak at the moment, the event training can't possibly have a negative effect on my main gym lifts, so it's a win-win!

Your right mate, I will sink a nice 250 next year hopefully and win it, that's the aim anyway.
I've noticed you've started doing them again, be interesting to see what you get back up to. A few years ago I'd have killed for a place to do events in York and now I have access I just don't have the interest. I may go have a bash and see if I enjoy it again. I do miss farmers and stones but not that bas***d log lol.
I've seen your weak phases soon become strong phases so I wouldn't worry too much about that
