Nice to see you at weekend. Really enjoyed my Sunday morning over the hills. I'll be sure to drop you a line next time I'm that side to see if you have a spare few minutes and a coffee pod to accommodate a quick visit Happy

Always very welcome, amigo.

LOL I know. Even I think that, but it's dark nights and that is the only route I've been arsed measuring with lights all the way. If I carry it on it ends up as 6k, so it's further and I'm no better off Unhappy

Cycle 10 ml

Snowboarding day 9-17. Got my intermediate level 6 today by linking turns from the top slope of the chill factore. I'm a snowboarder now!!

Cycle 10 ml

There will be no further training tonight.

Got my posh Parkrun tags through today too, along with a package I suspect may be my new ski jacket and my subscription of Mens Health. All in all a sporting day was had.

EDIT - my cycles were on my bike and were actually 10 miles. I appreciate that a cycle of 10 ml could be perceived as something else, which it isn't.

Thursday
Cyle to and from... 20 mile

No other training

Friday - drove to work. Legs are toast.

Saturday - didn't even drive to work.

Today - cycling the Rivington hills was postponed by missing the alarm at 0600 and lying in till 1 Unhappy Not done that for some time.

10k jog. Not fast, but non stop. This seems to be a theme I enjoy.

What a simple, but great idea Parkrun is. Unfortunately there aren't any where we live, but we've just been away and done a couple. Kenny, our nine year old really enjoyed being allowed to come along and tun with us.

I agree Steve. Brilliant events run well by brilliant people. I don't do nearly enough of them, although every one I have done I've enjoyed.

What do you reckon to the Great Wall Marathon Steve? 8 hour cut off seems a little scary especially as sub 4 hours will get you a podium place Eek

The Great Wall marathon looks fantastic although I can't imagine what your legs would be like after more than 5,500 steps - it would definitely be on my to do list if time and money weren't an issue.

No idea how tough 8 hours would be - I suspect it would hurt lots and lots no matter what pace you were going at and doing anything at all in the following days would almost certainly be "interesting"

The Parkruns are great, I'm a big fan. Well organised and very welcoming to all abilities.

The Great Wall Marathon, you can shove up your arse

Tend to agree with you, although they do a half and a 'fun run'. Fancy having a look as part of a possible trip to China, but the thought of spasticating myself for the rest of the trip doesn't seem too good. Reckon the effects on your legs would be as epic as the views.
