Fair play Dave. Thanks fella. It's all muscle memory really. This OL stuff will be pretty short lived, but I've picked out a few lifts and if I can get to 75% of my best ever lifts I'll be made up. 80%'s and I'll buy Coupey a chicken kebab for roping me in.
Back from camping. I'm f**ked. 20 mile hike with a walking weight of 113Kgs (I weigh 90 striped) with a dog who walks backwards every time a car drives past took it's toll. Walked about 10 of it along the Bridgewater canal tow path which in the weather we had was beautiful. Did another 8 miles yesterday through Delamere forest and surrounding areas, avoiding blisters. The plan was to walk back, but decided to get my Mrs to come and rescue us. I also got sunburnt quite badly which is going to hamper any training done in the short term. Fun time had by all. No more camping for a while.Unhappy

Sounds awesome that mate. My dog does the opposite. Crazy thing is motion-sensitive so it likes to go for cars when the drive past.

The muscle memory thing is mad. You hear all sorts of stories of ex weightlifters walking into gyms and doing stupidly heavy squats or something similar without training for yonks. Dave Sawyer is another one. I've heard that he had a go at squatting a year or two ago and went up over 200, despite not doing anything for years. There was a lad came to Atlas (Steve Thorpe???) who snatched 100+ on his first session after giving up for ages.

Can see you hitting some really big numbers again.

Have you been watching the new 24 btw?

No. I've seen all of them bar this. I can take it or leave it but that's a decision for later. Would you recommend it ?

Thanks again Dave. I'm not sure about 'really big'. In fact you know what, I hereby appoint you as my confidence man for the next month. If I bottle it at any point it's your fault lol

Not seen it. Got it on series link and there's 3 saved thus far. TBH I've watched a few box sets this year and been disappointed by most of them, either with the s**t endings or abrupt finishes because the efforts get cancelled. I started watching Breaking Bad because everyone says it's 'dead good'. I'm 4 episodes in and still need to feel it. I don;t think I have the right mindset for TV at the mo, or maybe it really is just s**te?

Let's get you up to 80% of your best! That WILL be awesome.

It has been written so it will happen...

I need all the kebabs I can get.

Agreed. Once its on paper its like law and sh*t. Plus Andy needs to be 85kg and you are now morally obligated to help get him there.

lol. I wasn't doing any olympics up to 4 weeks ago. They are 80%'s of all time 1RM and I'm a stone lighter than when I did them. I had nightmares about those numbers last night Eek
