4k plod 5k weighted. The run and, more importantly, the breathing was ok. The 2.5k dumbells as opposed to 1.5k wrist weights was a big increase, and not in a good way. This needs a rethink. May be time to start using the backpack.

First session this month. Had a week of a killer cough, which settled into lurgie for another few days. No work and no play. Seems fair to me.

Still no cycling. Probably the longest I've been off 2 wheels in 6 years. 11 days to the shortest day. 12 days and it'll be getting brighter.

4k plod. No weight. No speed. No stopping. No drama.

Nothing last night.

Promising start today. Let the dogs out about half 6, and all was dry. Went back to bed for a couple of hours and got up to do the parkrun. Opened the front door and closed it again. Belting down. Got back in bed.

After a day of telly and youtube I managed to do a bit

Press
40 5,5
60 5
75 5
85 2
70 7

Bag 10 1min rounds.

Shoulderz gainz

I think as I'm on a performance decline from an age perspective I'm starting with 0k PB's across the board from next year. It's the only way any of this lifting stuff will keep me interested.

Long ago I decided that yearly bests were the way forward...

I tend to agree Chris. It's not about going forward any more. It's about digging in and not going backwards, at least not willingly.

Pretty much - I like to think I have a few years left but, from injury if nothing else, I think I won't see some of my past lifts again. The good thing with yearly bests is they can fall where they may and, if they get up close to old levels, all the better.

If I can do next year what I could whilst I was still at school I'll be a happy ManfredUnhappy I'll just stick with year PB's.

Bag 10 x 2 min rounds
Speed ball 4 x 2 min rounds
Curlz

6k plod

Checked the tyres and oiled my bike. Tomorrow is looking good.
