How old were you when you had that 18 months of missing 185 and said you weren't going to improve further Andy? Just before you were the big 4 0?

Last time I tried 185 was new years day 2010, a couple of weeks shy of 40. I missed a 182 a couple of days after turning 40 and did 180 a week after that. Then I went on holiday to Spain and that was that.

Getting stronger slowly, but moving is becoming a problem. As much as I dont like doing it the mat has come out and it's a 15 minute stretch off at the end of each day. Lighter one tomorrow with the emphasis on moving. Heavy one Thursday. Hike and camping Friday-Sunday. & stretching.

I had so many goes at 147/ 150 it was silly. By the time I was strong enough to pull that weight I'd lost the mobility to move under it. Bummer.

No lol. The plan was to do a s**t load with 50k and get used to sitting in, and have a general stretch off. Once I could sit in 50k wasn't enough to stretch (what I perceive as) bottom positions. I just kept going then.
