Good luck on saturday! I unfortunately wont be there as I'm likely doing my last session at the warriors gym before my PBs. Hope you nail a new number though. Would be f**king ace if you pull off a 207.5 dead. That'd be mint!

Had a bit of a s**t nights sleep last night but heres how the day went.

Up at half 7 to have morning shake (protein, creatine, carbs). Assembled all my stuff, went to the shop to get some Jaffa cakes and a Red Bull then met my mate (Adrianis on here) and we drove to the PoA. Weighed in at 95.8kg which is what i was expecting. Don't really mind about weight at the moment.

Watched flights 1 and 2 of squat and bench, many records were set/broken including a Scottish (and British i think) record by Bernie Mckinley - 107.5kg bench. Incredible lifting all round. Eating Jaffa cakes and drinking powerade + carbs throughout.

Flight 1 of the deadlift started and so I started my warm up which went like so:

Attempt 1: 185kg Good Lift
Attempt 2: 200kg Good Lift (incidentally the quickest, smoothest 200 i've ever pulled)
Attempt 3: 210kg No Lift (pulled it up, quick off the floor but the tiniest of hitches about an inch before lock out. Rules is rules I guess but still a PB!!

What an incredible feeling, kind of went into my own little world as soon as I approached the platform. Everyone, and I mean everyone was incredibly helpful and there was banter all round. Even got to meet the one and only Buzz!

Got a wee medal and possibly set a record for the Junior 100kg single lift Deadlift, but will have to wait until the website has been updated with the official result.

A Big Mac with free Cheeseburger (got to love student deals) before home.

All in all a good day.

Can not WAIT to get back in the gym and build up and compete in my next competition.

Congrats at the comp and I'm glad you had great fun. Also well done on your 210 even though you had a wee hitch. If it's more than you've ever pulled before then you deserve a big well done! Happy
