Tried squatting today for first time since my injury.

Had to take it very steady, mild discomfort and very very tight in the chest. Had to descend really slowly and limit any form of bounce out the hole.

Worked up to 220 for double but it was verging on popping again so I took a plate off either side and just did 170 x 5 x 5 for what may aswell have been pause squats.

Didn't help having to walk it out as it pulled on the injury every step I took.

Next squatting Monday out the monolift so will see how it holds out then.

Benched yesterday it was pants cod s**tty elbows.

Squatted today out monolift, took it nice and easy and injury seems a lot better but still not 100%.

Just did doubles for 60, 100, 140, 180, 200, 220, 240

Happy enough with that to double my planned second lift weight is good.

Elbows feel super junky now, need some emergency TLC. Should be OK though as not much heavy work left at all.

Bench today,

In need of some good stretching, so tight right now, elbows and biceps feeling really junky, scrapping at work last night didn't help.

Lifting to commands today, working sets were.

140 X 3 - murderously long pauses.
130 X 5
Then did 100 for 8 reps with random pauses between 2-4 seconds.

Just mobility tomorrow

Some light deads today working 100-200 for speed.

Only 6 days til comp.

Airfry lifestyle is going well.

Most f**ked off that some bell end(s) have used my deadlift bar.. again. I keep both a powerbar and a deadlift bar at the gym in the store room and have suspected use on a couple of occasions when I've found it in a slightly different position to how I left it. Today however the knurling was packed tight with fresh chalk and a bit of investigation located some c**t going for some f**king atrocious snap city PB on Instagram a few hours prior using my bar. Hadn't even had the decency to clean it off!! This f**king infuriates me as its widely known both bars belong to me, there's a reason they're hidden in the back unlike the other ten million barbells out on the gym floor. So I've now locked them together using a padlock and a small plastic coated steel cable.

And now I can't sleep. 4am and I'm laid in bed in a massive androgen rage.

I used to have androgen rages when people messed with my bar too. One time I was about to squat with it and someone took it off the rack and started doing curls with it or something. Bar rage is the worst type of rage.

Hows the skirtingboard going? Also how does one even spell that word?

The skirting board saga is over, however there remains about an hour of work to be done before carpet can be laid. I could have done this weeks ago but I am lazy and highly procrastinative when it comes to literally anything that isn't lifting weights.

I do believe that this may be a subconscious tactical decision however as my plan has always been, once the living room is complete, to get very, very drunk on Jack Daniels whilst binge watching the latest season of Archer. This would be an enjoyable activity best left for post-competition hence my subconscious efforts to delay completion.

Maybe you could do a line of instant coffee off the skirting board, while a lady with whom you have made arrangements inserts jack daniels into your angus with a funnel

Practiced, no.

In other news, today I did some light squats, worked to 170 for some "speed" reps.

Also weighed self, gym weight 147.
